Tired of Large ships

How the devil is it that low? Mine is 273k!!

To quote George Heinemann, designer of the A-4, "Simplify, and add lightness". :)

It was specifically designed to be an expendable ship, carrying 8 tons of cargo.

They must have been terrible pilots then. Asp is far from my first choice for combat.

If certain members of the design team have their way, as well as the high-skill players on the forums, combat will be tho only mode of choice for ships. :(

How many Seasons after 3 will there be, if this is done? :)

Hey Guys. Just wanted to say that I've been playing the game for 4 months or so and have gone from a Sidey to a conda. And it doesn't matter what ship I'm in I usually end up dying to a heavily modded Fer-De-Lance or Python. I love the firepower of these ships but they are big clunky bricks (without class 5 dirty drives). I'm going back to the small ships and working on em. Class 5 full engineer mods on a sidey anyone? What ships do you guys prefer? Large? Small? What style of fighting do you use? Stealth? Maximum shields? Crazy firepower for the win? Flight assist off at all times? Cheers guys!

Makes sense. go learn on a smaller ship. It is what I did, though I still suck :)

Lightly modded Vulture - G3 dirty drives, 484 boost and better agility than almost anything out there. More to the point, the natural agility of the Vulture with those drives is pretty darn close to the absolute sweet spot (not too fast that the turning circle is too big, but fast enough that the lateral and vertical thrusters are significantly powerful). You can escape from just about anything with a bit of ingenuity - stay in close and boost around your assailant until the FSD is charged (high or low).

I have dirty drives 3 on my asp. It can run away just fine.

As for fighting.... A few python and clipper pilots used to share your opinion, until they shared a rebuy screen.

The Asp runs fine, even with clean drives.

I also recommend the 'fast FDS boot mod'. If you submit to interdictions, you are out again before the attacker can fire a shot.

Loving the responses guys! Currently starting a Eagle Mk2 build. She is going to be fast lol.

Depends on what I want to do. If I want to do bulk freight I pick my Cutter. Quick combat for bounty hunting? Corvette it is.
But if I want more fun and a challenge I'll get my Vulture, Viper MKIV, or even Imperial Eagle or Courier. It's just so much fun with fixed weapons and a HOTAS (and I usualy get my bottom handed to me). The bigger ships kill quicker, but it's not more fun. The Courier is amazing to race through canyons aswell. It's like sitting in an F-16 fighterplane. So I can't wait until we get atmospheric flight.
