Also planet 10 in same system is a GG with NH3 life
Yesterday I sold all the scans in Jacques station (total value of scans around 20.200.000). Jump to Ranger rank and level my standing with faction to Ally.
I see I can buy Type 6 in station so my next job will be mining. Will check rings on first post and go to work.
So can anyone tell me about potential security issues. A quick brief about possible trigger happy players situations (I love to play OPEN since I don't see point playing such a big game in SOLO)) Also since I'm out of the bubble for a long time (before Engineers update) I heard my friend complaining about boosted NPCs, what's the situation with NPCs in rings where I plan to mine?
And for the end let me introduce myself.... I'm CMDR Dzudzi. ASP EXP and Type 6. Plan to stay for about 2 weeks minimum at Jacques to help as much as I can.
My english is not perfect. I'm from Serbia, long time gamer (since 1984) and love Elite and Star Citizen.

There were reports of player pirates out here last week so if you're worried about them harassing colonists, the Colonia Militia are stationed at Jaques and are on hand to help protect colonists if called upon.
The Colonia Citizens Network also have constant news updates on what's going on out here, and coordinated wings and groups to join for mutual protection from NPCs/Players (mainly for mining and nebulae surveying at the moment).

Welcome Dzudzi! If you avoid the RES you're unlikely to encounter any NPCs in the ring. The closest pristine metallic ring is only light seconds from Jaques so there's a very small window of opportunity for anyone to attack you on the way back. You'll be ok.

Yes no ships in supercruise currently, nearby systems are empty and safe for mining. things may change going forward with new outposts and stations added and background simulation changes made. the asp is a much cheaper version except the mega rich, which the anaconda can fill, ocne fittings improve at jaques it may lean towards the latter but for the time being the first is the choice ship for most

that said the anaconda is a beast for hauling CGs currently as it can take 100s of tonnes of cargo, while still retaining landing abilities at large pad planetary landing locations and can scoop up those signal source large data caches along the way that sell for about 100,000 each and spawn currently up to about 10000ly out from sol.
Plus with multiple atfms they can go very deep space on long range exploration trips

I had heard that Neutron Star farming was good but I didn't realise how good. I spent a few hours doing it yesterday and made about 8m credits for my efforts. That's not very much in terms of sheer profit but it did bump my explorer rank from Ranger 69% to 92%.
Looking forward to reaching my Pioneer rank while being a pioneer at Jacques.
I’m going to wait around to see what the next CG is and depending on that make a call to head back to the bubble over the next week. I’ve got a tonne of materials that I’ve prospected from around Jacques that I’d like to put to use with the engineers and I’d also like to visit the Thargoid ship.
Once that’s done, I’ll head back.

I would think that with enough neturons and white dwarves that youll hit elite ranking very quickly, theres an idea for a combined jaques / pilots federation CG, build a founders world somewhere near jaques. Yeah id highly recommened ahead of 2.2 getting a ship or three engineered and the thargoid crashed scout ship is well worth a visit.

It will be interesting to see jaques new interiors as a tourism location, as well as plaent side base changes and possibly later on multi light stars.
2.2 will no doubt bring long distance tourism missions ( and maybe colonist transport to grow the local npc population) bringing specailists and colonists from the bubble and have it plug into the background simulation

So... I want to help make a change for once. I'm going to head to Jacques station tomorrow. Just back from visiting the alien shipwreck, I'm now around the bubble and won't stop at a station, going straight to Jacques. I can't wait to make such a big trip... it'll be the first time I go that far! Wish me luck CMDRs!! I'll probably settle there for a while.

Good luck! Enjoy the trip. Take your time, see the sights and when you arrive good 'ol jaques will cough up credits for all that tasty exploration data, so you can go spend it at his bar.

So bets people, the weekly downtime is up in about 15 minutes, will Fdev give us our planetary outpost in jaques system this week or will it be a 2.2 thing, i think to keep interest and reward the community these bases need to go in within a week or two of the CGs finishing
