So you want to know about the Formidine Rift? (Part 3)

I we're speaking stellar systems level of engineering, these aliens would look at us like
we look at ants or mold. Inoffensive, but requiring potential pest control XD.

One way to detect "unnatural" system would be to look for anomalous star class populations in the area.

Actually it may be a good analogy, especially if it's some distributed entity. And like ants, we may be trundling around looking at the specks of dust before our eyes, oblivious of the big picture all around us.

I wouldn't look into Egyptian mythology too much. Up to this point (as far as I'm aware) has been Greek based.
Also the Egyptian land of the dead is Duat. Unless you have something that says otherwise.

There's a connection to Babylonian mythology through Ishtar/Inanna and the Seven Veils concept, since Ishtar/Inanna has to pass through 7 gates to enter the underworld.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ishtar

Greek and Roman mythology overlaps significantly, and they both borrow a lot from earlier civilizations, so I wouldn't rule out any links to other mythologies.

Likewise some Egyptian mythology, as in the ancient world there were strong links and influences to Greece and Rome (Anthony & Cleopatra anyone?). In fact, you could argue most ancient and modern religion is derivative of each other.
Moreover Kahina is Berber, Tijani is a branch of Islam (apologies if I have misrepresented that). But certainly a lot of the story/clues come in the main from Greek and Roman mythology.

Yeah, perhaps human mythology is a better paradigm for the purposes of clue hunting on a galactic tableau, although I can see the inherent danger there too i.e. a lack of focus. I do think the Underworld mythologies are lining up nicely though. The galactic cycle of birth, death and rebirth maybe?

We'll be talking about Jaiotu's avatar next!

Facece is the home system of the Lavigny family. Blain is part of team Lavigny. He will never be arrested.

Florence Lavigny are pulling the strings in this faction of the Empire. Blain is under her wing. He is safe for now.;)

Blaine is the Imperial Sock Puppet Spokesmodel. Getting rid of him would be like shooting your toaster for burning a bagel.

Patreus is just doing some clean up. He staged his own failed assassination just so he could go after Salome. He runs Emperor's Dawn and even they don't know it. As well, Hassan was with her so I suspect some heroic daring-do is in the cards as it seems there's sfa we can do about it.

I feel I should mention that this comment just got rep'd by Drew.

Reverted back, nope. Still present. The color matrix just changes colors, so if it were fudging up it would be present in more areas than just the one panel. It would also be altering colors rather than the symbols which are a coding level beyond simple color using 3D placement to render location. So that's why this seems more intentional than a bug, because these offset locations some of these anomalies appear in wouldn't occur unless there was a coding error causing misplacement - which everyone would see everywhere - or intentionally placed so that it would only surface when certain criteria are met. If it were a graphic driver issue, well after 4 different drivers it would be fixed plus everyone else on nVidia would be seeing this. This has to be calculated - and if a bug then everyone would see it since my system wouldn't calculate the placement uniquely without a CTD or BSOD quickly followed:
It also isn't consistent in the way it presents itself or if the anomalies will happen. They are randomly different depending on star system if they even show. If they don't show, they never do in that system. If they do show, they always do in that system. For example the previous post I posted with the less than pattern, always happens there. Not exactly the same way each time, but fairly close. Other star systems will have blank entries for a name. Some will show random placements of unexplored or do other random cycling of the less than symbol.

Also unique is that the standard Nav Panel less than symbol font is like this where it alternates between bold and regular and that, aside from "unexplored," are the only things that are anomalous:

And I have not seen this before except in this location. I would have definitely noticed something like this in my days back in the bubble:
I've seen thousands of bugs in my days, and these are looking more and more intentional.

Are they increasing in frequency?

Hardware, temperature, video card stress memory going bad?

Do you monitor gpu, cpu temp, fan's failing?

When was the last time you blew out the dust, re-seated cards, cleaned connections?

Wait for something to go 100% fail, then you'll know?

Possiblilites,,,,

While we're on the subject of Greek mythology, the goddess Athena has a tendency to appear to people as an old woman - I've found references to it in regard to Hercules and Arachne.
Edit: The whole Arachne thing is all to do with weaving too

Here's another little factoid...
In Greek mythology, the Fates are weavers of the 'Tapestry of Fate' and are known as the Moirai - and guess what, there's a Moirai system in ED.

I'm at work, unfortunately, and can't check the system details, but it's recorded in EDDB as an 'Agriculture' system - and that means at least one Earthlike world.

Anybody want to check it out and see if it was terraformed?

It is indeed a terraformed planet. It also has 5 gas giants, 2 of which have water based life (and one other main icy body). Loads of moons.

Has anyone looked out for the Asteroid orbiting the sun called Salome, it may be the sort of place Salome has hidden a clue at if its in game.

Interesting...
Do any of the planets have names, or are they all just Moirai 1, 2 etc.?

Hold on, is that 7 planets in total?

The Terraformed, first planet, is called Thea Centauri. Yes, there are 7 planets, a K class star, and a belt between the sun and Thea Centauri.
