General / Off-Topic The idea of the day.

Ya, learn computers so everyone in your family asks you every time they have a computer problem. Charge them and they'll figure it out themselves. Get a truck, now you can help all your friends move...hell they won't even pack, you can help them with that too!

Here's a better solution: Grow a pair, learn to say "no" and get to enjoy your nice stuff.

And when your time is up?

You can either go out in the blaze of glory, or just by recognizing it silently step down, and let somebody else to have the crown. This is how true legends begin born.
Just ask the once and future king of Britain. ;)

About trophies? :D
Wherever i go whatever i start i stop counting them after a dozens or so. You need this much to know you are good. But after that? They are just collecting dust in the shelves. Who cares?

But ye don't know when yer time is up so why worry? Worrying all the time gives ye high blood pressure so chilling out could be seen as a healthy activity for both body and mind. However, if yer always driven to be the best, then being chilled out will be an alien concept to you because winning becomes more important than the enjoyment of taking part.

Am I the best at what I do? Some believe so. Do I care? What do you think?

I've lived long enough to win many trophies for many things...I never kept a single one because I really don't need them, and the desire to have them made me unhappy in the end. There's a quote that describes this perfectly..."Its not the destination that's important...it's the journey"

And yer sure as hell not gonna be taking any of them with ye when ye unplug fer the last time.

A great man once said, "I won't die...I shall depart"
