T9 Pilots, show your precious!

Ok it's time to show off the T9, the space cow, the truck that never give up, it has a phenomenal turning rate that most glaciers would melt to have, and a top speed that is envied by snails. My T9 can be viewed here.

She is ugly as heck but she is mine and I just love here, I realised that shields are the only way to protect her, so that is where all my investment of improvement goes.

I loved my T9 and made most of my credits in it.
Its now parked up as I upgraded to the Cutter, but I didn't want to sell it.
I do still occasionally make a couple of runs in it for old times sake.

Would have loved to show mine off, but it got upgraded to a Conda a while back now :(
Never looked back! Mostly because I couldn't see behind me in the thing... :p

I sometimes think I should spend a little more on maintenance, but despite the looks, she still runs fine. Mostly. And with A grade life support, there's plenty of time to reach the next port.

The T9 is the only ship I have ever bought twice....

Why? Because in a fit of stupidity, I sold it... Even though I never get to fly it at the moment because Braben loves general purpose ships and hates trading vehicles.

T6? Asp is better at trading.
T7? Python is better at trading.
T9? Anaconda is better at trading.

Anyway, I bought it back.

Do A class sensors help at all?

I always stick class D on any of my ships, although never plumped for the space cow....

Have you dallied with engineers upgrades to mines or shields, would you think that a worthwhile enhancement to improve your survival rate whilst you High Wake out of interdiction?

The problem I have with the big ships are that they just go boom too fast, I would like that they didn't go boom and just was disable and floating around as wreaks. What will FD do when we can board a ship, will they change the damage mechanics to disable the ship, make internal fires, who knows, however that a ship of this size just go boom is not very good for any kind of game play in my opinion.

Sensors gives you longer range and therefore a better opportunity to see who is coming in SC.
A good shield will give enough time to high wake out and stay safe, I didn't do any modding yet, however I will mode the shields soon (TM)

If FD put the same thought into the interiors as they did the cockpits (holographic components not included here) then I'm looking forward to inspecting my fleet.
If that air vent is blocked, I'll wait for multi-crew and delegate that particular investigation. Now where has Jonesy got to?

I love my T6, used it to fly out to Bernards Loop before it was cordoned off with permits.

Beautiful, surprsingly nippy little ship.

I purchased the Chris Foss paint set for it.

Trading with it is profitable, and while trading is not generally something I enjoy, the ship handling is well done. Not to mention the model with it's many little details.

After 2.2 is out I may try outfitting it as a miner, with a defense fighter to fly station while I work the asteroids. I'm interested to see if they do much reworking on the model to fit the fighter bay door.

T6, T7 were transition ships, on the long long road to a Python.

No idea now though, maybe they are pointless since earnings allow you to jump straight through.

IMHO T9 is one of the best looking ships in the game, it's just you rarely get to see it.

The thing is ginormous and looks so great, in VR a landed white T9 with you in a buggy really is a sight to behold! :eek:

Lol I'd love to have a T9. But what do you guys use your T9's for? Trading? Doesn't that make you a MASSIVE target, especially with several hundred tons of cargo? How do you avoid getting attacked? Or do you fight back and if so, how? I've always wondered about the T9.

I use a T6 for exploring and salvage missions and I absolutely love it! My most favourite ship so far.

Looks like a T6 to me. [haha] Pictures of a T6 in a T9 thread. [sad]

Anyway I sold my T9 to fund my Conda. Hated it at every stage of its development.

Yes, I stated I would love to have a T9, but I don't, so I just posted pics of my T6 instead. I then asked people to post pics of their T9s.
