Even setting aside "progress," the game is structured in such a way that if you're not going to play it for at least an hour (preferably two or more), you may as well not even bother launching the game at all. There are so many little dumb things you have to do just to *start* doing a single task that there's simply no way to do anything remotely fun unless you commit to large chunks of time.
I guess that this is what CQC *should* be good for, except the devs never put in bots or AI matches or anything like that, so you have insane wait times and this mode is just as much a giant time sink with little payoff in short sessions.
Oh well, at least the "incursion" tutorial mission is still a challenge and loads up quickly.
