T9 Pilots, show your precious!

General wear and tear. One careful owner.

Nothing a splash of paint won't fix. ;)

When I had my T9 I used to run shieldless for max capacity over 520t - can't remember the exact figure.

Gone are those days. :(

I always liked the T9 for being the only real "truck" in the game, that look and sound... [yesnod] So I got me one back then for the Sothis Gold CG and made the Trip five times back an forth... seemed to have taken ages to get there...
But I truly liked the brick like behaviour... Didn't fly so much in it since then, last time was short before 2.1 when moving it from Diaguandri to my "home"system, but at least I didn't sell it... Thought about it a few times but somehow I couldn't do it, the feeling for my "Eisenschwein" (ironpig) is just to cordial... Hmm... maybe I should take it for a little visit at the engineers... some day... when the T-Series get's some more love again... hopefully...

Is there much point in putting Chaff on a T9? With it being so slow & big, surely all ships are close enough to render Chaff a wasted slot...

I always presumed Chaff was best on small & fast, then getting worse the slower & bigger you get.

Point defence is now more important than chaff, IMO. I have two on every large vehicle I pilot. One top and one bottom.

This was my last load out for my 400T Trader T9, it is now retired by the Cutter, holding 720T.

I am planning on outfitting it for mining, I've seen a few good threads suggesting load outs, I am yet to try few and find a setup that I am happy with.
Regardless of the ugly cockpit interior, it is truly a majestic ship.

I love the T9 as well. Currently have a miner and one I'm kitting out as an explorer. To me, the T9 looks like a deep space explorer. Now that FDev is developing new passenger modules, I would really like to see crew quarters and specialized research equipment.

She currently has a 25.5 LY unloaded jump range with a Level 5 FSD mod and boosts to 255 m/s with a level 4 DD mod on 7D thrusters. Point defense and mine launchers for defense.

Really? that is silly, C'mon FD that must be a bug right, RIGHT??

I posted this as a bug report (The fact that a Python can "MASS" lock a T9)

And they said it was done for "gameplay reasons."

That was one of the first times I ever blank-stared after reading an FDEV communication.

That "Squadron" paint looks good.

And passenger modules, indeed... Could make a handy bulk carrier for troops, refugees, etc.

Someone mentioned T-series high density cargo racks as an idea that would require minimal dev resources to implement.
That would give these long forgotten and left-by-the-wayside vehicles another lease of life.

IMO, the almost criminal thing they did to the T9 was to make it mass lockable by a frickin' python.... a Python????? What the serious what?

Oh gods yes... to be honest, i don't think anything should be able to mass lock a T9 from what we have in game at the moment.

For GamePlay reasons? that is the most silly reason I've heard until now. The T9 is slow, it can't fight only run, how in the heck would they expect people to survive in combat is beyond me.
Frontier could you please explain that mechanic a bit more in details, because I simply don't get it.

The cutter would be able to do it, but that is it.

Yeah, the Cutter i suppose should get a pass considering its total mass... although looking at the ships, would still prefer it if the T9 couldn't be locked by it.

Yeah the T9 gets a really rough deal, needs buffing.

Like look at the size of the thing. By rights it should carry more cargo than the Corvette, maybe around the same as the Cutter.

Check out the profile from the back it's just got more volume. Mass maybe not, I imagine a combat ship being more "dense".

Yeah, it seams weird that a Python can mass lock it, FDEV you need to crunch the numbers again, for "game reasons" is getting a bit thin stretched by now.
I know we're getting fighters but, C'mon.

I had always figured that this was designed to advance piracy play a bit (or the hope of such). Afterall, the Python has a pirate paint job! :D

Way back before 2.0 I had my T9 taken out by a Deadly Asp-X that had me mass locked. Fortunately my hold was empty at the time, however I was just on my way to the station sell it and finally up grade to an Anaconda. Then just a few handfuls of ls away from the station this Asp-X jumped me and took me out. Could not boost away quick enough to escape it's mass lock, and boosting while charging for jump whilst being slowed down by mass lock just pumps up the heat, which the T9 struggles with anyway. By the time I decided to hi-wake it was too late. I think my hull was still at about 50-60% when I popped, so it must have hit my power plant. Talk about gutted, just when I thought I had made it and was looking forward to upgrading ships.
