As stated.. Whats the percentage of players with top tier ships ? I rarely see a Corvette, but I've seen a few Cutters in Open.
Is there any way to get % of players with Corvettes/Cutters ?

i have both.....i have all ships...i like to collect.
most are A rated apart from my hauler and adder...they collect dust.
Cutters can run away very fast in open, corvettes not so. There is no defence against heat weapons so why risk them in open with all the griefers...
What makes those top tier ships? Top tier for what? There really aren't any tiers per se, unless you mean most expensive.
It doesn't tell you much, I guess. If one player docks five times, during the CG, I think it counts as 5 ships. *scratches head*
I think the possibility is to make a poll. But it won't be truly reliable either. We can say that 10% of all players go to the forums, 10% of that number would enter the poll.
People who visit the forum tend to be the more active players (Higher ranks) usually, meaning that there is a higher percentage of big ship users among the forum members than there is among the players in general.
*shruggs* Someone REALLY smart would have to invent the maths to make the poll somewhat representing the true numbers.

that's correct, but might even out with the high number of people participating - no? on the other hand, cutter owners will probably not do that many runs.
so, a "normal" high traffic system might tell more.
Right, that's another thing. 1 cutter in statistics = 7 T6s, although it is just two pilots in reality...

I agree but it does risk igniting grievances. I personally think it is a useful tool to show pilots that certain things are possible.
How many players are over 5B cr worth of assets would I think be an interesting one since that sum pretty much buys you everything atm, maybe a % rather than a solid figure would be safer.
These things are a function of time, players will acquire all they want in game over that time. This game had a planned 10yr lifespan so I fail to see the panic in some players who seem to fret because they haven't got the newest, biggest and shiniest ship available. Of course I have both the Cutter and the Corvette but it did take time and I was a beta backer but I use the annie the most.
The anaconda is not rank locked and is available to any Cmdr with the money, money is so easy to make in game now that there is a lot of them about and it is by far the most versatile ship in the game along with the python.

I have both as well, but I just was wondering, given the current 'ranking sux' threads, how many people pushed thru ( or got it before it became harder ).
