Anyway to walk around the cockpit without Rift?

I REALLy want to tour around my ship but I don't want to have to buy an Oculus Rift to do so. Does anyone know of a way to, at the very least, look around the inside without an oculus?

Yes, the Vive.

I don't think the Rift, presently, even allows you to walk very far from the seat, but Vive lets you walk around at least the physical room area you've set up for it.

Get an HTC Vive.

(Sorry, couldn't resist.)

Without any kind of VR headset, as far as I am aware, you're limited to 'headlook' mode (by default, middle mouse button or right stick button on an Xbox-style pad), which gives you a 180 degree cone of vision forward, but doesn't let you look towards the back of the cockpit or get up and move around.

Sorry I should have clarified. I mean without a VR headset. Will a motion tracker to the same thing? Or is there some other way to make it work? It really kinda urks me if a VR headset is the only way, since we know that the full cockpit is rendered. It the model is there, then we should be able to use it!

Dang it. If the model is there we should be able to use it without a specific device.

The model is there for future content - namely, walking around, in and out of ship. The fact you can do this right now with a VR headset is pretty clearly unintended, as the first thing you see when you do it is a headless body sitting in the pilot's chair.

You have a point there, but I would really enjoy a debug camera that can look about the cockpit. I'm sure I'm not the only one lol
