Not necessarily. I flown T6's/T9's for mining to earn access engineers for example. So I can keep my heavily Engineered ship in the state I spent time crafting it into.
One play session I may want to fly about in my Courier and just mess around flying through canyons or spending time in a res whatever. In another session I might want to be mission running in my Python or bulk trading in my Conda.
If I've been in one ship but want to use the another one that's well away from where I am being able to transfer makes sense. Having and arbitrary wait time is just annoying for no sound game play reason in my view.
So you can't just summon your ship beetween play sessions?
I don't get it....
Plus, if you do that so often , you will hardly wait more than 10 minutes for your ships anyway, because they are all very close to each other(you are doing it a lot right?)
You know that 10 minutes is hadly a time of a GOOD youtube video right? And also, 10 minutes is the time you can just make a simply trade run? or a walk in the canyon? so... cant see you point there...
Also , i like to think that is more to it then a "arbitrary" wait, i mean, if devs make it RIGHT, they could CREATE a capital ship designed to ferry Ships .. like the shipping ships ship. And this vessel (already spent all the ship word), would be able to "jump" at the side of the station, and unload some ships from it side and docking then at the station by their "shofeirs"... how awesome would it be?
Also this same ship could be in a distress call USS, being overrun by pirates...
Or maybe a derelict ship of those attacked by pirates can have a LARGE ammount of rare materials in it's belly wich would be acessible by a blasted door, where the pirates have blown to steal the ships...
I MEAN , having a "lore" of capital vessels that ferry our ships IS WAY more interesting for the lore, then having a 3D printed LORE... Look all the ideas i had only for thinking about it for one or two minutes?!
