"Is that even legal...?"

A thought just crossed my mind...

Obviously imperial slaves would get their own cabins but; I wonder if, when slave trading becomes available, you could fit a slave in a standard cargo can?
Probably have to be on life support in an induced coma, but this would be highly illegal I imagine.

Just musing.

Errr, wasn't that originally first idea how you can transport other humans in Sidewinder? And passengers would require special ships? Cabins came only after some pushback from DDF community.

I still want to sell humans for meat to aliens, veal crates for toddlers and so on.... this is a "sandbox" game after all.... In fact I want to sell famous commanders for meat as well so when I capture your escape pod I'll be keeping you on Ice for a while :p

I don't see how that relates to what Kerrash was asking

He's all about the slaves now Alien. He used to be chirpy happy Kerrash. Now he's dark slavery Kerrash who puts unruley forum posters in canisters.

Shh I wasn't here right?

<sidesteps away looking at Kerrash suspiciously>

...You've changed since they made you a mod man
Yeah, I remember when he would have been more concerned about how many he could fit in one canister! ;)

Perhaps they come in 6 packs! I would imagine that when dealing in slaves that each slave would come with their own space travel harness, in effect a portable life support system. That way you wouldn't need any specialist hardware in the canister, perhaps just some kind of power jack.

You owe me a new keyboard... just splurted cornflakes all over this one laughing at your comments :D

Not legal.. :D
Slave commodity rules
Non-Imperial slaves are always transported in stasis canisters
Stasis canisters induce comas and can additionally supply nutrients when housed in a life-support cargo rack
when not housed in a life-support cargo rack, stasis canister occupants will reduce in quality over time:
Healthy
Ailing
Dead
Spoiled
The quality will affect sale price and commodity type the canister can be sold as (e.g. spoiled slaves cannot be sold as medical supplies)

If that's how one gets new computer equipment in the new dark world of elite forums, ahem, oops, I just snorted coffee into the side of my nice new (actually three years old) computer, which just happened to be open so I could admire the heat sink. :(

By the way:
"Passengers transported by stasis canister can sold as slaves at a market"
;)

Edit: Note to myself - Don't buy a ticket for Kerrashs passenger service. :D

Non imperial slavery isn't known for being that legal anyway.

So when a pirate asks for goods does he get the tinned food first or last?
