Nice little thing this. Interesting idea lovely music. Could be a nice little one to keep an eye on releases soon too.

Looks fun! That Voyager/BSG setup always seemed like a great idea for a game, certainly a bit more resonance than "get to the center of the galaxy so it starts over."

New one on me this. I can see a few games they, perhaps, have drawn inspiration from. Will keep an eye on this for sure. Thanks for posting.

Looks interesting, however I noticed two things:

1. That fire outside the ship, no way in space.
2. The switches between 3D and top-down 2D make it look like you will only play top-down and the full 3D view is reserved for cutscenes. I am not a fan of that approach.

I agree. The gameplay isn't massively floating my interest either with the 3d/2d thing. It's more the premises and then environs that interest me.

Looks very much like it was influenced by Farscape as well:

American astronaut John Crichton finds himself thrown across the universe when an experimental mission goes bad. Crichton teams up with a group of rebels involved in an intergalactic battle and begins a journey unlike anything he dreamed was possible while trying to find a way back to Earth.

I am .. interested all teh same :)

I loved that show ... Officer Aeryn Sun (Claudia Black) - my kind of lady !

I can see where you are coming from with that. Not a fan of the recent blonde look though... :)

So did any of you check TLJH out when it released recently? What did you think? I got on the beta test lottery presented in RPS, and tested it for ~25 hours, but never made much progress, finding it a bit too unforgiving (mission effects, and wear and tear from flying around and extracting resources) and therefore repetitive in which bits of the missions I got to see. However, I think it's interesting in the context of ED, as an example of how more authored missions can be superimposed over a procedurally generated galaxy.

Despite being the thread starter I haven't picked this up yet...but I will. Nice to see some feedback though helpful as always.

I tried it a few hours, but the game seems primarily balanced around two rather annoying mechanics: getting into orbit and landing. The first is mostly difficult due to the inability to zoom out, so you cant plan ahead very well. The landing part is a bit arcadey-platform in a way. And you have to do boths hundreds upon hundreds of times. The dialogue is fun, the stories are often interesting, its just that the gameplay is very mediocre.

Yeah I've read similar elsewhere. Shame really as it "should" be interesting gameplay but seems to end up being frustrating instead.
