Oculus Touch controller

Is this real or just another mega store wanting to 'be first' ?

The first listing for say the playstation 4 was months ahead Sonys actual announcement and 5x the actual launch price.
This reeks of the same practice.

I suspect the first pre-orders will be through the Oculus store anyway. Until Oculus announces the price then it's just speculation as far as I'm concerned.

And no price or mention of a second camera included........yes just speculation.

A second camera/sensor will be included, although I suppose some corrupt stores could remove them and sell them separately (but not officially). I was hoping for $200 or less as being reasonable.

Yea, they took off the price and release date soon after the page went live, hope you're right!

You're forgetting that all store prices in the EU must have the sales tax already included. Sales tax in Germany is 19%.

So the price without taxes is actually €167.23 which converts to $188.46 (at today's conversion rate) without taxes.

is there even word of Frontier of supporting the Touch ?
and then is it even workable ?
changing controllers wile playing with a headset seems a problem to me.
this makes me uncertain to even pre-order the thing.

I play from a gameseat with a X52pro.
it seems not very practical to me to get out of the seat after a landing for the eventual (hopefully) E.V.a.
cos then you then need to clear the floor.
this will become annoying pretty fast I guess.
besides from the delay to play on in a multi player game.

I wasn't very forum active lately so any direction on the subject is welcome.

Nope.

No plans what so ever for touch controllers and Elite.
I imagine sometime in the future, if they have ship walk around and etc, there may be a place for Touch. But for now, I don't want Touch for ED and don't see a need - what? - typing on the cockpit keyboard? - I don't think so.

Anyway, the pre-order for the rest of us starts this Monday at 12:00pm PDT. I'm just wondering if I should buy though the Oculus site, or go through a store like Amazon?

why go trough amazon?
the service trough their own site is very fast.
was answered within 6 minutes after a small earpad problem.

question remains is there enough software for the touch.
awell I like to support VR so buy them anyway.

I thought their site crashed when they released the Rift. Or was that the Vive? Or both?

I'm tempted to try the Oculus site, hoping I might get the controllers sooner. But I've never had a problem with Amazon, and if they won't introduce a delay, then they may be less of a hassle.
