Appeal to the league of ordinary gentlepersons

I will be happy either way. So no problems here. I just want the feature one way or another.

But if the delay causes a delay in implementation, i shall strike down with great vengeance and furious anger those who voted for a delay. And they will know I am the Maderator when I lay my vengeance upon them. :D

If the result is delay I'll reinstall the game.

If the result is instant then I won't.

Pretty simple choice for me.

If it is Delay: I will see that common sense has prevailed and carry on as usual.

If it is Instant: I will be taking my stripped out 'space hopper' out to the next haulage CG and then instantly calling my cargo hauler, to exploit ever credit it has to offer.

Like most arguments, the first page or so of the first thread (or so) had all the relevant arguments. After that, it just spirals into an us vs them contest. Doesn't matter whether it's talking about game dynamics, platform wars, economics, politics, religions..

If the instant transfers are added, I'll be really disappointed with this spacemagic; but I'll just add it to the list of things I really don't like but can't do anything about. Just like the real galaxy. How 'bout that for realism!

If I get too upset, I'll just stick my head out the airlock and scream my head off. In space no one can hear you scr... dammit, in ED they can! That's going on the list!

When the instant/delay vote comes in:

If the result is delay:
I'll be happy
I'll realise those who voted instant won't like it. I won't gloat. (Golden Rule)
I'll not make any posts telling FD they've did the right thing.
I'll accept the decision and move on with the game.

If the result is instant:
I won't like it.
I will not respond to gloating. Good for you.
I'll not make any posts FD is making a big mistake.
I'll accept the decision and move on with the game.

Replace instant/delay to your situation.

Sandro said it in one of his posts: there are good arguments on both side. People are arguing for personal preference. How can that be wrong?

Ziggy.

I spent most of the last week eliminating the need for ship transfers for myself. Sleep loss, as usual.

Frontier's timing is excellent, as usual. :(

I voted delay. :)

PS: Tried to +1 Ziggy, out of rep to give. Rats.

This mature and reasoned approach to dealing with something you don't like has triggered me! Stop griefing my emotions!

Silly question, if it's a delay, will the ships just appear in the hanger or might we actually encounter them coming into land? If we all recalled our bookmark sidewinders at the same time in the same place (assuming like me you have some leftover?) will we be able to bung up the entrance way?

Serious question, can we recall ships from offline stations I wonder? Probably not the right thread but just occurred to me. (Have a Asp in Lave. Think it's offline. Not been back yet. )

Anyway good work OP!

Well, since I voted for the delay - if you feel any need of striking, I'll be at CQC this evening, 7 pm BST.

At your service.

Good on ya Ziggy

Games fascinate me, forums fascinate me... As for transfers I'm one of the few (very few I see now!) who really doesn't give a hoot either way :)... Been very interesting seeing this whole episode play itself out!

Respect as always Cmdr o7
Same with me. Make it fun and have it vary between instant and delayed. The reason could be conflicts, blockades .....etc.

I voted delay, even though i was pro instant.
I figured there would be another way to gain some of benefits of instant, without the need to open the game up to possible exploits.
Damn my split personality.
