Ship Builds & Load Outs Is This Python Combat Build Any Good?

I'm trying to find a good combat only build for a python and was wondering what people think of this build

Python Mk2.5

Look forward to the feedback

Redone link as noticed had wrong lasers also redone power management.

I went with this one which worked well for me. Beams pull the shields down and m/cannon chew the ship up. I kept the cargo space because there are no size 6 hull reinforcements and it lets me still scoop up stuff from the combat zones.

Running the same as OP, except I use Turreted beam lasers, to keep those pesky eagles etc under fire.

Mine has Dirt Drives Tier 3 and Multi's have Heat/Corrosion and AI just melts with ease.

You have no heat sinks, meaning you will cook when using all those SCB's / get shot at with thermal shock. Replace PD turret with one and maybe KWS / another util slot with another HSL (that single PD turret won't be very effective, anyway). I would also replace those beams with pulses to save on distributor draw.

I have engineered the  backside    out of mine Honestly it is awesome, got interdicted by an elite annie last night it managed to get one ring of my shields down before i laid waste to it in less than a minute, mind you i am level 5 with all the engineers. I know people moan about the npcs but if you visit those engineers it really makes a difference. and yes you do need some heatsinks.

Your going to need heat sinks to go with those shield cells. I would also go with an A rated power unit. Looks sweet otherwise though :)

I would replace the beam lasers with F2 gimballed multi canons. They need less power so you have more power left for use on SYS to keep your shields up. The Python is a bit limited in shield strengh anyway: You can fit 4 shield boosters only.

Thanks for all the posts.
After reading your posts think I'm going to have to go engineer hunting for the Heat/Corrosion upgrade for my Multis'.
So here is updated Python build. Python Mk 3.0
Thoughts???
