My Game Is Stuck On Easy Mode....

I started a similar thread a while ago.
Got a lot of answers telling me that I should fly a smaller ship, outfit it less efficiently, that's it's my fault to mod it too much and I should not complain that the game is now too easy and blah blah...

Well, I am now on a break until Winter comes...and since I noticed recently that "Winter is coming" will be part of 2.4, I have the impression that this break will last longer than I expected.

Mostly overpowered npc weapons and npc ramming.
Lost it once landing on a high g planet.
Hell 1 time I was killed by a wing of adders.
To me the python is a useless piece of junk than you are almost forced to have for missions to outposts.

NPC ramming can be a pain in the butt, but put 4 pips to shields and it usually works in your favour, and will write off the other guy. :D
Assuming you have shields, that is.

As far as overpowered weapons are concerned, I've been struck by multiple thermal attacks and never gone above 100% heat. I'm still convinced that the computer just warns you, but nothing happens. Lol
Either that, or the NPCs aren't very good at the Engineers.

Admittedly, I lost my Python landing on a high G world, but that was because I landed on a sentry. Lol
No shields, no thrusters... I was simply a turkey shoot for the base!
I do wish they wouldn't patrol quite so close to the landing pads... :D

Nimble ships are the Pythons weakness if you're too heavy, when I tried out military armour(before I got dirty drives 3), I had to use turrets.
Suddenly little ships are no longer an issue. Lol
Then I give up on the armour and went back to Gimballed weapons.

As for useless junk, the Python is the most versatile ship in the game.
Not an opinion, it's a fact. :)

Wow. I have no idea what game the OP is playing. I want to play that one.
My fully modded Python has a hard time in a CZ. Both before and after 2.1. And playing with only one hand. Really wow.

One day I have to learn to fly with my toes and take on the entire CZ.

I found the game was stuck on easy, then erroneously goes to uber-hard mode when it spawns a surrounding gaggle of cheating NPCs (I mean, programming AI is hard, guys).

Still don't tend to die unless I throw caution to the wind, just absolutely destroys immersion. People complaining about ship transfer should be complaining about this stuff instead.

I'd love to know what game you're playing. Lol

Maybe we should wing up and see if this weird alternate reality I'm stuck in will collapse the universe in on itself..?
:D

Admittedly, I wasn't flighting the entire CZ with one hand.
I was just shooting at those heat things on the cruiser, while sipping coffee. Lol
Pre-Chaos, I wasn't moving, just shooting.
When the **** hit the fan, I simply used lateral thrust Down to get a clear line and repeatedly hit boost to clear the cruiser.
Incidentally, I probably used to Majestic Cruiser to block any fire from the Farragut... Without even realising it.

To be honest, I don't think I've ever lost a ship in a CZ since my very early noob days.

Just in case you are being sarcastic, programming AI's _IS_ hard, because AI's generally need to be programmed in such a way that they are not perfect, which is actually quite hard, as for them 'cheating' with infinitive stuff and such on that point I agree that really needs fixing.

..... I'm gonna go find a farragut and shoot it now. Didn't realize we could tank the capital ships.

They are surprisingly weak, and inaccurate.

This infinite stuff can be a total pain.

T9s in CZs seem to be the main culprit for excessive SCB spamming.
The amount one fired off would have blown my Python to pieces. Lol
I had to ram him to collapse his shields.
Luckily, the battlecow can't really get any good shots off, or move, it's basically a case of lower his shields a bit, ram him a couple of times, then blow it to pieces. :D

It's semi-serious. I understand exactly how hard it is. However, anyone thinking AI is not absolutely critical to this game is fooling themselves. With something that critical, cheating/immersion breaking should never be possible, let alone        ' commonplace.
