Ships 7A Thrusters Worth It?

So like the title says, are the 7A thrusters worth it for the Anaconda? I'm in Outfitting right now, and I currently have the 6A thrusters. When I move over to the 7A, I see no performance increase whatsoever. No faster boost, no faster pitch or yaw...nothing.

Am I missing something here??

you need to get above 720T (50% optimal thruster mass of 6A thruster) for any difference, and it really plays a role when you get above 1440 T... my conda has 1100 if outfitted for trading including cargo, and 717 when outfitted for exploring, i use the 6A thrusters and enjoy the additional jumprange.

What Goemon said.

I ran with 6A on my lightweight builds. Even at a bit over the 720T mark, the change isn't much at all.

Ok I gotcha. My current mass is only 665, and with a full load of cargo I go to 1049. I prefer jump range, so it sounds like 6A are the best for me 😎

I use the 7D grade III dirty drive @ 21,7%. Lighter than 6A and strong for my 52Ly exploration trader Annie :D
I have 7A grade V dirty drives @32,2% in my Corvette. Yes, they are faster and better,

Basically, because of engineers, look at it from a long term perspective. Do you want to use this ship for long range exploration? Combat? Trade? In either case, you'll want to put dirty drives on her.

Personally, I took the 7As as I want to eek out as much speed and agility out of her as possible, and I already have an Asp for long range exploration.

well, i have clean drive tuning L5 on my 6As, mainly using my conda for exploration. it can highwake from a neutron star or blackhole now without overheating.

my exploration DBE with A4 L5 dirty drive tuning can't do so anymore.

that isn't a serious obstacle, but my explonda is a comfy build. basically a luxury longrange explorer.

I'm not sure why your stats don't change but I notice a significant difference in maneuverability. If you plan to engage in any sort of combat with it then I strongly recommend 7A thrusters. Also, if you plan to land on any large gravity planets, then also recommend 7A thrusters so you don't crash.

Other activities allow you to fly like a brick, so you don't *have* to.

Definitely worth it in my opinion though.

because

My current mass is only 665

- any increase from thrusters grade cap out at 50% optimal thruster mass ... 665 is below 6A 50% optimal thruster mass, so there is nothing to gain from 6A to 7A. he would loose speed andmanouverability going from 6A to 7D (because d-class thruster give less speed and manouverability at 50% thruster mass, then a-class thrusters)
