This has prolly been asked a zillion times but I guess I'll make it a zill & one. If a person wanted to buy the complete game what would they have to do? Would they buy both Elite & Horizons or just buy Horizons? I already have the game but I'm thinking of buying it for a friend & I don't want to screw up the purchase.

Horizons is effectively a DLC for Elite: Dangerous - and will not work without the base game.
The Deluxe Edition currently available from the store includes both plus some ship skin cosmetic items:

Bit weird calling it deluxe I think.
I mean "complete edition" might be better, a few skins hardly makes it deluxe.

Then again I suppose if you stick "complete" on there people may think it includes all future expansions.
Yeah although it can't be complete as there's more seasons to come and people would argue that the "complete" should act like the lifetime pass
Just gift your friend with base game and Horizons. You need both to play Horizons. It was different at the start, but people had issues with pricing, so FD updated that.
