Did you wing up with anyone? When winging most people have auto-voice comms activated (last tab in comms panel)?

I see where you're coming from, but this was before I'd even got to the initial loading screen.
(Had only just clicked 'Play' in the Launcher).

And, while I do have a mic, it's not currently attached.

I honestly don't know but it might be setting up your computer to receive the audio stream for when you do wing up? You could ask FD in their support forum to confirm though.
