I've visited several large stations while playing solo player mode and I have launched the game in the horizons launcher 64 bit, but I cannot find ANY vehicle hangars at ANY bases. I have checked about 20 at this point, with the last check at station Ray something. I never see it listed anywhere. I have googled around and noticed that there are a lot of players that have the exact same problem, but nobody has a solution. What is going on here? any ideas how to fix it?

Ok I'll try that. I'm flying an Eagle, so I hope I have the correct ship. Thank you.
every ship can fit a vehicle bay - every ship has at least 1 class 2 compartment (the eagle has 2 class 1, 1 class 2, and 1 class 3).
I'll have to wait before I can test it, deleted the game and am re-downloading it. Deleted it because I thought that the problem was the game files were messed up some how.
There are a fair number of stations I've come across that don't have what I consider to be the basics like fuel tanks and hangers. I use INARA to find stations that have certain equipment:

It will look for stations closest to you that has what you are looking for (under the outfitting menu). In general though I've found that hi-tech stations with in a system with a large population tend to have most things.

I had this exact problem a couple of weeks ago.
Then I realised - I'd started the normal Elite Dangerous game from the launcher - not the Elite Dangerous Horizons game.
