Title: Empire’s Military Cost Paid For By Citizens

Description:

The empire has moved an entire military delegation to AB-W B2-4. To maintain an action of this magnitude is very costly and will inevitably be paid for by the Emperor’s subjects.

Metzili its self is a very populous independent system built on free trade, but it is surrounded by federal systems., Recent hostilities are already bankrupting the system without the added weight of more taxes.. The local population already from high rates and now find it difficulty to keep businesses running.

The leader of the Brazilian Armada X, who calls the system home, expressed his indignation:

"The big game has started, the empire moved the first piece. But it's like they say: the rope always breaks for the weaker side. "

The faction BAX has said in a statement that it will do whatever it takes to re launcht the local markets and insists the population should not suffer because of the thoughtless acts of the galaxies two Superpowers.

As noted in the guidelines at the top of this thread, we usually give feedback only if there are small, objective issues with a submission (e.g. mentioning a particular character or organisation that we intend to use in our own story, or neglecting to include a location for publication). Given the finite amount of time at our disposal, it isn’t possible for us to enter into a discussion about more complex or subjective issues.

I get that. I'm not asking for a lengthy treatise on why it wasn't acceptable. Simply just a 'we acknowledge the story but have rejected it' would be sufficient. I'm not suggesting engaging in a war of words over each submission.

That's cool and all, but how about one of the most iconic and discussed Alliance systems in the game actually gets some spotlight now that it's green again, ages after it got lost to an independent dictatorship due to YOUR mistakes with PP affecting the bgs?

You gave the Empire a war through divine intervention for Facece and they failed to flip it, on top of a story line about it. We did it on our own without any intervention on your behalf and it gets shoved under the rag.

This is a quite lackluster representation of the whole "we want the community to shape our universe" words that FD is supposed to adhere by. The system has been one of the first that got any player narrative back when it was flipped to independent from The Code and retaken, but now it seems that such content is no longer important. Keep up with things. It's essential to our enjoyment just as much as to the accomplishment of your own statements.

How is the Alliance community supposed to trust FD on their vision for the game, when most iconic system of the Alliance ever since the game launched (yes, more things have happened in Leesti than Alioth or Lave) being liberated is treated with a "meh" from your side of the fence?

Title: Cemiess on the Brink of Civil Unrest

Location: Galnet, otherwise Cemiess, Achenar, HR 6421, Pokomovoi, Daras, Umait and Bhotadda

Time: As soon as possible.

Description:

During ongoing investigations into the mysterious Children of Raxxla, Radio Sidewinder reporter Commander Jonuss noticed that the normally stable Imperial system of Cemiess was almost thrown into civil unrest last week. It appears a minor insurgency took place, though Imperial authorities seem to have quelled the situation for now.

A message claiming to be from the Children of Raxxla was received by Commander Jonuss, though the veracity of it can't be confirmed. The message read:

The Cemiess Imperial Society hasn't even bothered to answer to our demand for an investigation. We regret to have to do what we did but we are strongly determined to find out about the whereabouts of our leader CMDR Salomé. An ongoing cover-up operation will force us to an escalation of measures which will ultimately have severe economic consequences.

Cemiess authorities remain tight-lipped over the ongoing events, but Commander Jonuss believes the Children of Raxxla may stop at nothing to get justice for Salomé.

Last chance to see the Col 285-Alrai-Scorpii corner?

Hi Ian, I know resubmission isn't allowed, but I'm resubmitting this because I wasn't sure if it wasn't posted before due to the postponement of the URC's research programme. And also because I've received some awesome editing assistance from the Interstellar Press, thanks guys! :)

A little more context: These news stories I'm posting relate to the player group and minor faction I've created (more info here). They're meant for fun, not too serious, but the one serious thing I want to do is help players find what's in game with in-game info (i.e. Galnet and local news). For example, for a location that's currently in the news I will write about what's of interest nearby. The writing will be from a tourism perspective but will be useful to players, e.g. where to find rares.

Title: Last chance to see the Col 285-Alrai-Scorpii corner?

Location: Kocab, Clayakarma, Nauo, Gyhldekala, Boga, Kpaniya, Vanayequi and Eleu; or Galnet if it's worthy.

Time: before Thursday and the start of the URC lockdown.

With the recent announcement from the United Research Council, holidaymakers have been wondering what is in store for their favourite hot spots in the Col 285, Alrai and Scorpii sectors. Despite assurances that the region will remain free from political influences, rumours suggest many governments are being slowly coerced by as yet unknown astropolitical forces.

Whether you're a thrill seeker, nature lover or beach bum I recommend booking your holiday to the area while you still can. If you've never visited this little known corner of the Orion spur before then I highly recommend Tpheirset, which has a stunning natural earth-like world filled with incredible native flora and fauna, and an adjacent terraformed "pleasure-planet". Elsewhere in the area the current economic uncertainty means that stocks of Vanayequi Ceratomorpha Fur are likely to sell out quickly, and Eleu Thermals may become even more popular, so get your souvenirs for the family back home before you leave.

Racing is already underway at Fast Ring in the Manktas system, where the Buckyball Racing Club is experimenting with a new race format. BURNOUT! encourages pilots to burn as much fuel as possible while still achieving the fastest possible time.

Fast Ring administrators issued the following statement.

"We are proud to be hosting this race for the BRC pilots, and happy to take the racing 'heat' off of other stations for awhile."

Anyone can join the experimental race, which can be flown in under 5 minutes, but participation ends after the 15th of September. Sign up in the Community Events section of our forums.

Title: The Mace and the Sabre

Date: At the end of the Mu Koji CG

Location: Sol, Achenar, Mu Koji, main Gal-Net if deemed appropriate

Body:

The recent Federal-Imperial clash in Mu Koji has fascinated professional and armchair strategists alike. Benjamin Li, editor-in-chief of the neutrally-aligned Shooting Star, had this analysis to offer:

“In a brute-force slugfest, the Federation enjoys all its usual advantages. But Mu Koji demonstrated that when more sophisticated tactics are called for, the Empire appears to have an edge. To compare the two militaries further would be fascinating if the human cost wasn’t so terrible!”

As the fleets of both superpowers re-deploy, neither side could be reached for comment.

CMDR M. Lehman

Note: This entry was written with the assumption that Imperials win the piracy part of the Mu Koji CG, which it currently looks as though they will. If the Federation pulls out a come-from-behind win, please disregard this submission.

Title: Slave Drama in Hisaaka

Location: Hisaaka, Kamadhenu, Nemgla, Arapa, Achenar.

Time: ASAP

Exit polls from Hisaaka suggest a swing towards challengers Chapterhouse of Inquisition in the current election.

The test of incumbent Conservatives of Hisaaka follows an illicit slavery scandal in the system.

A Chapterhouse of Inquisition sting operation found 96 unregulated slaves at Khan Vision, chief port of the Hisaaka system. Although Hisaaka's dictatorship-style regime imposes strict checks on social media, feeds in neighbouring systems have linked a high-ranking member of the Conservative government with the illegal trade.

A leaked Inquisition report revealed slaves discovered crammed inside the hold of an unmarked black Faulcon DeLacy Python at the station. The ship was later impounded by the Inquisition's officers, and slaves offered passage to their respective home systems after liberation. Most damning for the Conservatives is the corroboration in the report of the identity of the corrupt official.

Snap elections were announced almost immediately, quelling the onset of unrest. Imperial Slaves in particular are threatened by the spectre of the unregulated trade undercutting their conditions.

Although polls have yet to close at the time of writing, pundits are confident that Hisaaka will soon be under new management in the form of Kamadhenu's Chapterhouse of Inquisition.

Title: Colonia Hub lacking resources for growth
Systems If not publishable to GalNet, I would hopefully want to have it published in major trade centers that I'll look for from eddb.io. As well as in Eol Prou RS-T d93

Description: Hey Ian, I'd like to write an article about the commodities that Colonia Hub is in need of but acquire except from the bubble.
I'd like to write it as an interview with the Colonia Council mission giver, Thalia Sparks who controls Colonia Hub.
This is in relation to this thread I made: https://forums.frontier.co.uk/showt...arket-What-to-bring-to-Jaques-from-the-Bubble

Question: Before writing it can I get a tentative (and of course with no promises) green or red light?
