I know,I know I screwed up and I've beating myself up over it for the past 12 hours ever since making that mistake last night. I sent in a ticket immediately after realizing that my credits currency shot up by 600% and logged off to avoid interfering with any possible galactic consequences (community goals etc).
I apologize if this thread is unnecessary since a ticket has been issued, to which there is no reply as of yet albeit the "under 72 hours response guarantee."
I just wanted to know if Frontier has done this for players who made similar mistakes before, of course for perhaps only once in their entire Elite career, to which prevents players like myself from committing that same mistake again.
I just love this game after No Man's Lie went viral to which got me winding up about Elite Dangerous and have been playing ever since. Even bought the Thrustmaster X-Hotas and paid extra Amazon fees for it to ship within 3 days just for this game.
All in all, can this be done? I am honestly shackled at the stupid mistake I committed last night and I'm about 50-50 on whether the situation can be salvaged with perhaps a rollback on my account before the mistake.
Also please don't leave any criticizing comments D: I am feeling down enough as it is.
EDIT: Support has gotten back to me last night and they said they were unable to return the ship to me. Disappointing at it is, they have stated that they are preparing something with the next major patch to prevent players from selling their ships by accident. For anyone else who finds this post after they made the same mistake as I did, do not wait for a response since it will be really futile, especially if your ship was heavily modded.
Here is the reply from Support:
Hi Ryan,
Thanks for getting in touch. What you read in the forums is semi-true: we are unable to restore sold ships or modules at all. We don't have the functionality to do it and anything sold is lost permanently. Sorry to disappoint.
The credits you will have received are equal to 90% of the ship's total value and this is standard on all ship sales.
We are implementing some changes after our next big update to ensure that ships cannot be accidentally sold, however I am sorry that I don't have a solution for you at this time.
Please let me know if you need anything else.
Regards,
