Do Prospector limpets increase asteroid yeild? Like many aspects of this game I can't seem to get a clear cut answer, some say they do, some say they just take up cargo space!

Yes they do. It's at least double, but I don't know the exact numbers.

a normal not prospected asteroid gives you about 10 fragments to collect. a prospected asteroid will give you somewhere around 50 fragments to collect so it is well worth it to take them, not to mention you will know what you are about to mine and can thus skip over the roids with galite, indite, etc. If you mine in high or hazardous extraction sites those asteroids already produce more fragements, but you will know which rocks to avoid.
