Newcomer / Intro Extremely hard KOS missions

I am very new to this game, and i have made enough to buy an Eagle ship, i have 2 Laser beams and 1 cannon which fire altogether.
Now, when i take missions like, "Kill Theta Ursae Majoris Organisation Ships", they send me to kill a god damn massive 2mil+ worth Anaconda with my pathetic little Eagle, not to mention, the enemy is at Master rank in combat and i deal no damage to him, i died in less than a few seconds trying to do the mission twice, which says that the mission is ment for "harmless" commanders.
No it is not ment for harmless commanders, especially new players, so please fix that.
And please can anyone tell me how to do those "Kill on Sight" missions?
I really want to improve my combat but, come on, stop sending my little Eagle against Master+ Anaconda's... -.- which don't even pay off to fight against them, only 70k bounty for such insane and impossible mission.
And its really hard to find a descent mission with 70k~ bounty which requires combat + that my ship is good enough to do it.

My weapons:
1E Beam Laser - Gimballed
1E Beam Laser - Gimballed
1E Cannon

Stop.
Don't take assassination missions above your rank
Goto Res/ Haz Res, Nav, Comp Nav and hone your skills pilfering bounties

Nobody is forcing you to take that mission. ;)
Every mission has a recommended rank and will give you some hints of what you're up against. Don't do missions that send you against anacondas

If you need quick easy money, you can do the courier missions, instead. They usually lead to a neighbouring system, can go up to 140k per mission, if you're allied with the faction, don't need cargo space (it's just data) and you'll enjoy some combat during the interdictions, too.
Plus as they don't auto-fail when you die.

Ideal missions for a newcomer in an Eagle.

That's the point, all the missions say "Ment for Harmless commanders", but what it actually does is send me to such impossible missions.

And i want missions which include combat, transferring data or gathering materials is boring as heck, that's why i want ideas or advice to get actually possible missions. :p

Hmm, interesting. Well, anyway, the assassination missions (no matter what rank) will never throw anything less than a Python or iClipper at you. More likely FdL, Assault ships and Anacondas. These are really advisable to take once you have at least a Vulture.
And as for the Combat zone missions, it really depends on luck and what CZs you find. Sometimes it's Vipers and Cobras, sometimes it's big ships only.

You could try to wing up with some friends, maybe, if you insist on taking on these missions.

How much does a vulture cost?
And another question, as i discover new unexplored solar systems, do i get Exploration experience from selling the data in a facility?

1) Go to Coriolis.io for easy exploration into ship costs and loadouts. Note: Ensure you have the 15% discount checkbox ticked. You can use Inara.cz later to ensure you go to the right Li Yong Rui system to get that discount
2) Yes. You get Explorer ranking if it is somewhere you have not been to before. If you detail scan then that increases your payout back at the station. If you are in Open and nobody else has been there before you get all the previous plus your name on the tin.

As D.G.Cerberus already mentioned go to a RES: http://elite-dangerous.wikia.com/wiki/Resource_Extraction_Site
where you can a decent amount of credits. But better to build up your skills starting with a Nav Beacon --> Low-RES --> (standard) RES --> High-RES

Great video about taking a Viper into a High-RES uploaded when the AI was much tougher, as soon as 1.6(non-Horizons)/2.1(Horizons) came out. Now we are on 1.6.05/2.1.05 the AI has been dumbed down a couple of times:

In a High-RES you can earn 1 to 2 mil credits/hour. Combine that with a bounty hunting community goal (CG) and you can double or triple your earnings via CG bonuses (none this week, perhaps next Thursday) - it's how I made most of my credits.

The game sometimes has funny ideas of what you might be capable of at different skill levels. Always be wary.

Even more strange, is there are some who would take an identical mission, in identical ships, and complain it was too easy.

That's no longer true - I took an assassination mission last night ranked mostly harmless (I wanted the micro-weave cooling hoses) and it spawned a mostly harmless Viper Mk. III for me. It lasted all of 20 seconds against my heavily modded DBS.

Kill pirate missions will be fine if they spawn. They now require the player to interdict and engage rather than farm RESes.

Conflict zones for a neophyte CMDR in an Eagle are a death sentence. Avoid them until you have at least an A-rated Viper or other ship that can run when the railgun spam starts.

1) Interesting. I never noticed these Harmless assassinations. :)

2) I haven't seen the pirate-killing mission since the overhaul. I stopped believing they exist. They were fun, though.

The survivability of an Eagle in CZ is actually higher than that of an Anaconda, in my experience. One must know how to move around, out of focal points and steal kills, though, which isn't something a newcomer would be able to do.

I think the safest thing to do as a newcomer in an Eagle is to patrol the supercruise, pick targets that seem doable and interdict them.

In most games missions are what you do to earn money and experience, they are often easier than the main game.

Elite isn't one of those games, to gain money experience and boost your ratings just go to the NAV beacon in your system or one of the RESs but not the HazRES and scan the ships you meet and any suitable wanted ones you attack and claim the bounty. I plan on only really doing missions to increase my naval rank or to get an introduction to someone.

That's what i was trying to say, as a newcomer, i am very interested in combat and increasing my combat skill, and i thought that whenever i get to a base on some star, they give out missions which require "Harmless" combat rank, so I am like "oh cool! its for Harmless combat rank commanders!", *goes out to the mission and find out he was sent to destroy massive ships like vipers and anaconda's with Master+ combat rank* :p

But yea, thank you all for giving some tips about the nav, low res, res and then high res. because i really really really want to improve and become better at Combat, and even go CQC one day.
I tried taking an assassination mission, i gave up because i had to find him somehow in a specific system and a specific time, which was extremely hard so nope xD.

Also, i can go to a super cruise and chase easy kills, but we all know that taking a mission and actually accomplishing it feels 10x better than just randomly bounty hunting :p

Oh it definitely feels better. :)
And yes, if things are what they seem to be, yes, it would be good to have more of the Harmless and Mostly Harmless missions out there.

And since you mentioned CQC - Why do you say "even go CQC, one day"? CQC is perfect for skill training. The death doesn't cost you anything and you are playing against humans. Spend two days there and you'll see how easy and predictable AI actually is. :D
