0% sensors = unable to request docking ?

Returning from the core to Jaques loaded with exploration data but unable to request docking because zero % sensors, is this correct ?

I got desperate. My ship was destroyed at Colonia Hub while trying to piggyback another ship into the hanger.[big grin]

Idk, but I'm thinking without sensors you can't target the station to request docking? Never tried it before, so just guessing.

I would say reboot\repair just to get them online.

Yup, no sensors no docking.

that was one of the main reasons for the new feature reboot/repair. Try it

I'll just add that you will find the reboot option in the Functions tab, three flicks to the right from where you are. Very bottom, just above the Self destruct.

As the others said, reboot will get them online again but it may take several attempts to do so.

Also, if you got killed in an ill-advised piggyback attempt, I hope you already realised that you lost all exploration data on board

Unfortunately reboot/repair was not an option. I could target the station but nothing appeared in the contacts list. Five epic journeys ending in four epic failures.

Yeah, just tried it. turned off my sensors, and got up right next to the mail slot. no option to request docking, or anything else sensor-wise . amfu or reboot/repair option to get them working again so you can dock.

reboot/repair is in your functions, same place as self destruct.

If for some strange reason you didn't have that option, well, new to me, and possible a bug? unless there are other factors in play.

Oh!

The functions page. I didn't think to try that one.
I was using the modules page, selecting sensors and clicking on repair instead. [sad] Now I'm gutted. Limped all the way back from 7K ly

Live and learn. Sorry you lost all that data. It also works for thrusters. Basically it is the last ditch option to get you fit to limp home

Well, you obviously had enough in your piggy bank for the rebuy so no need to sit there wallowing, time to get back out there, go on, chop chop you little oink.
And just fly out of the station this time, no more corkscrewing on the way out (see what I did there)?
Next thing you know he will tell us he started the universe with the pig bang, I think that would be boaring though.
Also when he tried to piggyback into the station and got killed, it might have been his friend that squealed on him, that would have been a sowprise. Still you reap what you sow, or is that a load of hogwash?
