Nvidia 372.90 Driver grimness

Anyone had any luck with this? i just auto-updated my driver and ED in VR went pretty strange on me.
Firstly there appeared to be a noticeable performance increase, I'm getting no judder around stations, I'm pretty sure this is improved, but.....

Very washed out colours, zero contrast, no black in sight, not even close to black.. misty grey and faint colours. YUCK!
Checked the nvidia control panel to make sure it wasn't running in limited mode, it's not, can't think of any other reason for this so reverting back to 372.70.

Anyone else tried this yet?

EDIT - Turns out it was a connection error with my tracking cam, I changed usb ports and it all went back to true black, so the new drivers seem really good.

Interesting. No mention of VR improvement in driver highlights. Will have to try although I am just returning from Sag A so no where near a station for a while.

I thought I noticed more smear than normal since updating the drivers. I didn't notice any previously...maybe I just didn't notice it.

Good - as soon as you said 'washed out colours' - straight away I was thinking tracking camera.

What video card are you using?

Do you use FULL DYNAMIC RANGE in Nvidia Settings? This requires to be set after each Update as does my K-Boost button on PrecisionX for SC boost.

Yeah good call! and a simple fix.. phew!

It's a Palit GTX 1070, which was way better than my old 970, but couldn't really supersample well in ED.

However - when I finally got up and running last night with the 372.90 and the latest ED 2.2BETA,
I discovered I was able to run the debug at 1.5SS with the 2.2 VR MID settings ( same as 2.1 VR High I believe)
it was smooth and stable, so yeah, early days but something has changed somewhere, and it's good!

Yeah, I reset it back to Full mode, thanks for your response though, I wasn't aware it would go back to limited mode upon update. (though I'm not surprised!)

Tried the new driver and didn't seen any performance improvement. In fact it seemed a little more juddery. Went back to 364.72. I am not running the beta so perhaps improvements lie there. Will have to wait to see as I refuse to pay to beta test despite the added content. Just my opinion.

I stick on 368.81 drivers version. Above seems having a know problem when you lose tracking during less than a second randomly, making the screen jump in the Rift, and I had this problem with latest version too. 368.81 are stable, no more jump.

The Oculus team said they know the problem and are working with NVidia to fix it.

I am going to back to that driver, thanks.
