Newcomer / Intro What Counts for Ranking in Communtiy Goals?

Specifically in the current 'Federation Appeals for Exploration Data' what counts for ranking? Is it the total value of reports submitted (as I would have thought) or just the number of reports submitted (as the transaction screen implies)?

It is quantity over quality in this specific community goal. Meaning the more reports you submit the higher you will rank. Doesn't matter their value. Also only system scans with a discovery scanner count, scanning planets or stars don't count. Also here is a thread dedicated to community goals that should help with information on each weeks community goals, also the reddit is a good source of information.

Last time i checked (didnt play at all today, even let a mission timer expire) i was in the top 25% in the exploration cg just going back and forth between there and my tantalum source (for the empire cg at maia) with a basic discovery scanner a couple of times. So its an easy score especially if you are particpating in the cg at maia.

Good advice, I have just been going about my regular game play and mixing in a few economical runs when jumping a long way and have acquired a few hundred scans over this week.
