What ship do you prefer that I bring to this event, a Type 6 or a Sidewinder?

The Anaconda in Solo or Private group.

There is an event with a rich storyline in Kalana already:
Earlier this month, the Mu Koji system was engulfed in the ongoing conflict between the Empire and the Federation, as the superpowers staged rival operations to secure enemy intelligence.

Although the battle only lasted a few days, the collateral damage was severe, resulting in the displacement of thousands of civilians. System authorities have responded by establishing a refugee centre at the Bujold Enterprise starport, but have found themselves unable to provide the many refugees with medicine and shelter.

The Kalana Independents have therefore offered to fund a coordinated relief effort. The organisation has placed an open order for basic medicines and evacuation shelters, and has promised to reward pilots who deliver these commodities to Bujold Enterprise in the Kalana system.

The campaign begins on the 29th of September 3302 and will run for one week. If final targets are met earlier than planned, the campaign will end immediately.

Roleplaying wise organizing a painball event next to a charity event in a war refugee camp.
The usual clumsy, heavy handed attempts at roleplaying from our 4th wall breaking lulzbunnies of doom.

A trade CG is ongoing in that system.

Dare i say....?

For their sake I hope not, as it would go against this: "In addition taking action such as seeking out and targeting specific players purely for the purpose of being disruptive, to cause offence, or to upset players within the community can also be considered harassment. A perfect example of this is deliberately attempting to disrupt public livestreams such as the charity ones mentioned before. This includes, but is not limited to, the capturing of footage and releasing it publically in an attempt to create upset or gain notoriety through the actions listed above."

So luckily for us, it will be solely aimed at the CG. Weeeeee!!

Hehe...that was funny.

On a more serious note for all our he-man Open PvP'ers, complaining about the lack of action (or cargo ships to run down) and with nothing to do in their super duper combat-only capable ships, here ya go!

Blast them out of space - make it safe for the ladies and old men, in their non-steroid fueled cargo ships, to fly there in Open.

You wanted content and PvP right? Looks like the gauntlet has been thrown. Are you up to it? I know it's not a T6 or mining ship but...
Go get 'em tiger!

I wonder what would Open be like after 2.2 hits, with its anti-FSD rockets and all... One thing I know for sure - Solo and Private would become much, much more crowded.

Doesn't work too well, as long as there are traders around, since they have no scruples cheesing the instancing to switch away from PvP focused players to instances where they find easy prey (watch their previous streams, it's all well documented).

Now if the traders stay in Solo or PG to contribute to the CG, while the PvPers stay in open, there's nowhere to switch for them. In that case it works, but "protecting a system" is as viable as "blockading a system".

Oh I hear you sir.
So Open is broken and there is really not much FD can do about it without the strong potential of punishing innocent players.

Well, guess I'll stay in Solo then.
