Somehow, I don`t know how I did it, but my Left and Right panels won`t show up. I cannot find the button to reactivate. can anyone point me to the control?

Basically you can disable the panels appearing when you look to the side. The key/button shortcuts to the panels should still bring them up, though.

They are usually bound to 1 & 4 on a keyboard (not the number pad).

That`s the confusion. I didn`t alter my control setting at all. I did look in the controls anyway, and changed stuff, but still nothing. The number 1 and 4 buttons simply do nothing.

Ok guys, it`s not the game`s fault. I thought it was because it happened in game and I swapped both keyboards and the problem persisted.
Something in my PC system has wierdly for some reason disabled my number one and two keys.

Fixed it by simply switching pc off for 10 seconds and on again... (There`s an IT joke there somewhere).
I have NEVER had a problem like that in many years of using a pc. Still bothers me not knowing what caused it.

That's one of the most ridiculous system glitches I've ever seen.
ed stores control bindings in an odd way, what I think it does is scan for device p-id s on start up
