Horizons Has anyone actually placed a UA in contact with a barnacle to see what would happen?

[noob] I see a lot of talk about how CMDRs are researching to determine what relationship if any, there is between barnacles and UAs and do not have time to read through all of it but, has anyone simply placed a UA or alien probe into direct physical contact with a barnacle to see what, if anything will happen? Or placed them into direct physical contact and then honked at them? Or maybe just placed them in direct physical contact and then left them alone? (you know, for privacy).

Pretty sure this, and a hundred other things, have been tested by the various groups that are interested in barnacles, UAs and UPs.

I watched Pew place a UA near a barnacle and honk it. He did not place it into direct contact with the barnacle that I could see. These things emit when honked, what happens if they emit when in direct, physical contact with a barnacle?
