It's not immune to everything! It's true that it remains independent from power play (lore) and the PF cannot be undermined (your point stands). But in terms of common sense, given the nature of the PF, Commanders abusing their headquarters should have their access revoked.

this is a very good point. on one hand GENERALLY i do not think systems should be immune to the BGS. on the other hand, the Pilots Federation ARE a special case because without them we have no insurance, no "elite" ratings or anything.
Given the Pilots Federation are central to game imo this should be the 1 exception where, unless it is something the devs decide to do storywise, in which case it would be a major thing, it really is stupid it losing its "base".
so i agree, any insurrection against the PF should mean they revoke your access for a time imo.
but then, i would like a scenario where we could get kicked from the pilots federation full stop, inc all perks and then join up for the Dark wheel, which would control all the "major" illegal "evil" stuff in the game (massacre missions, piracy missions etc) - i suggest both PF and dark wheel would let smuggling go. . I would suggest they too should have their own system, with their own separate rankings, perks and their own permit, and it is not possible to own permits for both (but with the option to flip flop between the 2, albeit it would take some time and some work to gain trust back).
I would suggest we dont "lose" our elite rankings (or our dark rankings if we flipped) but they would be frozen.
gold star if high level ranking missions in the military involved long term missions going under cover and joining the "opposing" group to the one you are in and doing something.
