That wasn't a smart-*** reply. This would have been a smart-*** reply:
Seriously, good hunting to you and others involved with this emerging campaign in Latugara. That is the exact sort of system where relatively unchallenged free-for-all combat should be taking place. Maia, too, had you found any action out there. It's medium security, but low population. Not a lot of resources for law enforcement. But Deciat? The system that kicked off this thread two months ago? Not so much. This is why:
Those allegiances and security ratings are more or less meaningless at the moment, and have been since launch. That's all I have issue with here. Changes are coming; the first stirrings are in 2.2 beta right now. If and when those changes result in a noticeable security improvement in places like Deciat, I'll shut up. Believe me, nobody wants me to drop this subject more than I do. I've been riding this particular horse since at least the start of 2015 and the saddle isn't getting any more comfortable. But until those changes bear fruit (or FD just removes the security ratings altogether and officially makes the whole galaxy a lawless free-for-all) I'll continue to "have a pop" at them from time to time. They designed the galaxy this way, and until they implement game mechanics that fit that design, or throw that design away, they still have work to do. Of course you're free to disagree with that, as long as you understand what it is you're disagreeing with.
