Aven Colony, Sci-fi City Building and Management Sim

Just spotted this on quill18's youtube channel and thought it looks pretty interesting.
Kind of like a deeper Planetbase with quite a bit more going on.
Saw this preview of it https://gamerant.com/aven-colony-preview-842/ and it seems it suffers the same issue that a lot of city builders struggle with...once finding the game rhythm there is little to throw you off.
Anyhow, I'll keep this one in mind when making my next purchase.

I've been looking for a good colony sim for 20 years since I learned the gaming press lies when I bought Outpost circa 1993. Got to the "end game" even got the strategy guide, one and only game I ever bought it for, only to learn when I got on the internet in 1995 that most of the proposed end game features got cut before launched and there was no end game.
Given that their a alien planet, there should be a lot to throw you off track.

Yeah, definitely cool. Though, doesn't appear to be growable zones like CS or SimCity. Looks like all structures are ploppable like Cities XL
This is the type of game I would watch someone play, which is odd, I know.. [wacko]

Ah - I must watch some of the Youtube playthroughs. From a quick glance it reminds me graphically of Outpost.
Actually Cities XL had a couple of nice features, but was cursed by a few bad design flaws and bugs. Cities: Skylines just sort of blew it out of the water.

City/civ builders and sim management games are two of my favourite genres. I have lost a small percentage of my life playing them [where is it]
There are some videos of the game being played, on the same channel as the vid above. Looks o.k. but I think its just one to think about, for me. Maybe watch more game-play.
