My Earth-like World has been colonized!

The beta's patch notes contained a very nice surprise:

"- Outpost added to Eol Prou VY-R d4-443 6"

That would be this planet.

Other systems nearby also have had outposts added, though I don't know if any of them have ELW-s. If so, then congratulations to their discoverers as well!

I do have beta access, but I don't think I'll be able to go online until well in the evening. Could anyone who does, and is near Jaques, post some screenshots of the system and the outpost? I'd be grateful.

They should add a mechanic that if any of the planets you discover end up being used/colonized you get a nice bonus in addition to the initial finder's fee.

@ MattG: Yep, I knew I had to do it, but I did it gladly. I left it up on the "From Jaques" sheet though - that one's not used for any calculations anyway.

@ Eagle 5: I'm not exactly impartial on this, but I agree.

I will also check the system list, though I haven't scanned nearly as many systems as you did around Jaques, and my 2 ELWs are about 80 ly away from the station.

Thanks! I'd appreciate that. Also, it's 19.73 ly from Jaques. As far as I know, there's only one ELW closer to it, Eol Prou PC-K c9-221, first discovered by CMDR Carmey. It's not colonized though - perhaps FD wanted to space the freshly-colonized systems a bit farther out, or perhaps they wanted to go with the larger ELW first. Maybe both.

Sorry, probably mis-worded - I'm back in the bubble, I'll just check whether I've been to any of those systems listed.

I'll head back to Jaques though sometimes after the community CG is achieved and 2.2 is launched - the timing depends on how beta unfolds (i.e. is it worth to wait for the neutron grid and to take a fighter, whether it will be affordable to bring modules to Jaques after 2.2, etc.).

It's CMDR Marx's tag - but in beta, first discovered and other exploration data is wiped so I decided to claim it :p (at least it was mine in beta last I checked - entirely possible it's been wiped since then). Once the beta is over, so will my claim to any ELW with my name on it... though I think I have a planet in that system tagged, somewhere near the back...

Hm, who owns the planet? That's a good question. I do have the "first discovered by" tag on it, but I don't think that would be ownership. I did ask Zac Antonaci after the reveal if I could name the planet, but he hasn't replied yet. In the meantime, I've submitted an entry to the Galactic Mapping Project, so at least that one will be there.
For now, I'm exploring around Jaques, waiting for the release to come and check out the new outpost as soon as possible and feed it exploration data. If anyone's in the area and wants to meet up, let me know!

Also, something interesting about the planet: since it's mostly covered in water, it looks like the engine determined it to be a primarily aquatic agriculture economy. So the new bubble's colonists will be able to eat fresh local seafood. Jaques Sushi, anyone?

Oh, and yeah, Matt has the outermost planet tagged. I left a bunch of them untagged, and CMDR Fischaugen (fitting name) was the second who got to the system. I think there might have been someone else, too? Not sure.
