So there's a new FB group. And it anounces itself warning that "carebears" might "get extra salt" along with a clim to be "uncensored". Umm... Yeah...

So, tel me, why would anyone remotely sane descend into that pit of drama-narcissists and trolls?

I like it. Maybe we will see less of the gankers...errr... "real combat he-men" around here.
Would go check it out but as a carebear I might get scared or something.
Can in check it out in Solo mode?

Good thing that wasn't post in that FB group then you'd have the dilemma of telling someone their opinion isn't welcome in an uncensored environment where one is supposed to be unfetted in expressing one's opinions....

All groups need some sensible moderation i would hazard , that doesnt mean all sorts of topics cant be discussed but in any internet setting there needs to be some background control of potential illegal activities

I think that everyone that uses Facebook should get locked up for his or her own safety.

Seriously, i never understood why people care so little about their privacy. Being with Facebook is the equivalent to running around naked while followed by camera drones everywhere.

I'd do that to my m8s as a joke, and considering some the stuff we used to get upto, what you suggest is very mild and reserved. We used to call that having a laugh...not sure what the kids of today call it. Probably get a lecture on political and social correctness...how droll ^^

The OP of this thread, set up the group on Facebook that he's linked to, after being banned from the Elite Dangerous Community on Facebook. His first post in his new Facebook group was about being banned from the EDC group on Facebook.

As someone who has themselves raged a few times, I can tell you from experience that it's never a good idea to rage. I hope the OP is ready for this, it's as they say, be careful what you wish for, you may just get it.

Now while I agree that maybe the rules on this forum, and the EDC may be a little on the tight side, and I've been critical of the forum rules here, the answer isn't to set up a group on the other extreme of the scale. This will be a lesson the OP will learn. I am watching with interest.

For the record, if anything is said about me (I am not the most popular person in the Elite community) I won't be reacting to it, and I couldn't care less what is said by people I don't know or don't respect.

Well if thats not the answer, what is? Half the blocked words here aren't even swear words, just words they don't like...like the name of my ship funnily enough. Sometimes gets very boring feeling like walking on eggshells can't say boo unless it offends someone. Their forum, their rules I know but still...if an uncensored forum appears on fakebook then happy days far as I'm concerned.

I find that people who get so offended by swear words are often the more uptight, self-righteous sort.

Not in the least offended by swear words.....but nor do I think there's anything particularly clever in thinking it's a good thing to have to resort to never ending swearing to make an argument.....if an argument can't be made without resorting to swearing it wasn't a particularly good argument in the first place.....
