Horizons What's the deal with the zero time mission bonuses?

Not sure this is the right place to post this, but anyway...

So, I'm makin' a decent living as courier. On occasions, upon reaching my target system or station, I get a message tellin' me I'll get a bonus, if I make that specific delivery within a given time frame. However, on almost half of these occasions, that time frame is 0H 0M. It doesn't seem to be connected with the time spent between the moment of pickin' up the mission and the moment of arriving to the destination, as I sometimes do the missions right away, and sometimes I accept them in the morning and do them in the evening. This happens anyway. I'm assuming it's a bug. So I'm basically just asking if I'm the only one getting this.

Now, since we're here, the values of these bonuses seem to need some adjustments (in the spirit of...logic). I fail to see how a bonus of 12.5k would sound interesting to me, when the mission pays 5 million.

Anybody else bugged with these issues?

Well, from what David Braben said on the LiveStream about his ranking... He's not Elite because he does not play the main game, but in the Development Builds. So they play, but with tomorrow's toys.

I also vote that zero time mission bonus are really annoying. Should have a 1 or 2 minute minimum. I get several 0 time bonuses a day. Followed by the we are so disappointed in you email right after. Stupid just stupid.

'not being able to reproduce it' means they cant figure out what is causing it. In theory it should work, half the time it does work, and half the time it doesnt. In those case you hope to quickly find a common similarity between these cases, but when you cant find it you dont know the problem. So you cant fix it.

I have had loads of these but I thought these where 1 minute to complete since the fail message seams to arrive a minute later, the counter has counted down by the time you have read the message reading 0hr 00m, some times you get longer and if you keep checking the message the time will decrease as the clock ticks away

It's hard to believe they can't reproduce it - it happens with such regularity.

The problem is calculating the target time at the low end, when the destination is close by. When the target is a system one jump away, you might get a bonus time of 20 minutes; when it's a station in the same system: < 1 minute, which is barely enough time to leave the station, plot, charge your FSD, jump! I did get one bonus offer which appeared before I'd even taken off and expired before I left the dock.

Surely if they can't find the problem create a simple solution...

"Mission update... Bonus if you deliver in 0H 0M"

"Click 'YES" to accept bonus mission or "NO" to ignore bonus mission resume initial mission".

Problem solved.

Every time this happens to me... It kind of makes want to post a "We had hoped you'd rise to the challenge" review on steam.

50% wrong, official statement on the issue was that it's somehow hard for them to reproduce the issue.

I have a theory that these happen when you HOLD onto a mission for a while before actually doing it. When I accept a mission and immediately run it to completion, these timed bonuses always seem to work fine. Its only when I have stacked some missions and do them hours or days later that I seem to run into the 00:00:00 early delivery bonus bug.

Not sure how they could say they can't reproduce this. It happens to me EVERY data delivery mission that I do.
When they say reproduce they mean intentionally. yes it obviously happens to them, but when you reproduce a bug it means you follow a series of steps that causes it 100% of the time.

This has been bugging me since I started playing several months ago. I assume it would be quite easy to have all mission delivery update have a minimum of 3 to 5 minutes. This would at least make deliveries possible. Nothing is better than getting a snarky message about how you didn't want the bonus 5 seconds after you got the request..lol
