The Return of 1k Delivery Missions

Listen, I understand nerfing Sothis/Ceos runs. But did the other missions in the bubble really need to be nerfed too? Have already visited several stations and am seeing countless missions rewarding 1-10k credits. Just why.

Perhaps a dev accidentally changed the wrong variable and nerfed them all.

But if you are just visiting looking for missions, you may not have sufficient reputation built locally to see higher paying missions. You may have to do a few low payers to earn the rep locally.

Im aligned with all factions in sol to the max. Yesterday was being offered 200-500k+ for 100t 20ly type jobs, today 50k. Thats not going to pay for the ships. Sad times.

Yes, elite rank data delivery is 36,000 creds with no additional material and commodity reward. However, smuggling missions seems to pay well compared to legal hauling, 700k for smuggling 48 tonnes of slaves 1 jump was one I saw while delivering goods at a station.

And sometimes those low paying missions come with an engineering materials bonus...

...which you then get interdicted for, every thirty seconds, until you drop them.

To be fair, I spent my first 250 hours in Elite ranking up my rep with minor fed-aligned factions in a Vulture. Of course, through all that, how many navy ranks did I gain? One. I somehow think I may have earned my current rank.

For real? I mean why touch the payments where it wasn't needed? (the rest of the bubble) I never did Sothis/Ceos/Robigo or whatever...not sure why all the rest have to be affected by this "nerf" as well.

I'm at Maia right now so can't see this yet, but I worked hard (with all factions) at the system that I call "my home" to get the better payments and such, and now if in 2.2 once I'll go back to "my home" the payments are going to be cr*p...I'll be really pi**ed.

And before someone comes at me...I'll put this to all Sothis/Ceos/Robigo and all the rest of us as it seems. Join together people and cry.

On the one side they gave us ridiculous ship transfer prices and say "hey, if you fly a 100 mio+ ship, you should be able to afford this" and on the other hand they are bothering us "100 mio+ ship pilots" with tons of these 10k payout missions. Why the heck should I even undock for 10 or 50k... this feels like no progress at all. You are killing the missions FD... :-/

I was just at earth where all my rep for all factions are maxed out and found not one 100k+ transport mission.

Hmm...doesn't seem quite right that all delivery missions everywhere should be suddenly 10 times less. Is that what everyone is seeing now?

Edit:

Just checked some where I am, and yeah, they are all tiny. There was one to haul 20T of something, paid 418 cr. That was the smallest, except for a few that paid NO credits at all, just a single material.

I guess my days as a delivery dude are kinda over, lol.

In a similar situation, maxed rep with 3/6 factions in a system, friendly with 2 others, neutral with last.

Cargo transport missions would be anything to 100k to 700k, sometimes 1-1.2m, and, on rare occasions, 2-2.5m (those were very very rare though).

Log on today and most are less than 100k, complete joke tbh.

Interestly, passenger missions from the same factions are looking like they'll make me more money than I did from cargo transport missions.

Maybe this was because mission payouts have been so high recently that bulk trading was becoming pointless? Don't know until we get a dev comment whether this is intended balance or an error.

Haha, 30 minutes into 2.2.....delivery missions all around 10-30k o_O nerved to stone age...
Then, the first passenger mission I click, 14 million! Reward.....
Balancing wild style?

I'm seeing a 330k mission to deliver 66t gold 10LY away @ titan city/sol. What is the difficulty level of the low-paying ones? You need high difficulty and high rep for the good ones...
