So I just lost my Anaconda I was flying without rebuy because I was attempting to load up the Galaxy map and while I was stuck in a frozen state waiting for it to load, an Expert Anaconda pirate dropped in on top of me and opened up.

Never stood a chance and couldn't get away fast enough.

RIP my entire investment.

Well, not the end of the world so back to a freewinder.

Just loaded up the dock and now I can't fix up the Sidewinder because some         has UA bombed Trevithick dock.

Somebody find me this joker so I can repeatedly murder him and send him back here. See how he likes being stuck in a Freewinder with no Outfitting.

Has it been that long? That particular starter dock has never had services as I recall! Simply fly to a larger base in the system - Simples lol.

Guys. I accepted that risk when I first bought the thing and knew it was a possibility. You're focusing on the wrong part.

I need you to focus on the real point of this topic which is some at has rendered it impossible for new players to properly outfit their ships.

Well, that's simple! Just take your freewinder out to Maia and get some Meta-Alloys! It's all part of the wonderful way Elite works, as I'm sure you well know by now.

Well alright then. I guess nobody is actually going to be helpful about this.

Small wonder first impressions about the game have been poor. Wish I'd spotted this sooner but busy on the Frontier. Best get to my Backup Vulture and start killing again.

Been there and done that, OP. But only ONCE. Took too long to rebuild my fleet that I"ll ever do that again. Fortunately I got nailed that way before release and haven't ever lost a "live" ship that way.

Agree with you that starter systems should be immune from UA bombing and so should Jameson. Otherwise the ats can do stuff like this.

I think that some stations, in particular Trevithick dock, should be outside of BGS effects.

It's hardly fair on new players, or idiots without rebuy:p, to be stuck without any options to upgrade.

Yet here you are, complaining that you lost a ship that you couldn't insure.

Do not, ever, under any circumstances, undock if your balance < the rebuy cost. You could get f'd by another player or a technical glitch or your internet going out or your dog jumping into your lap or whatever.

Don't do it. This was entirely avoidable.

1.) dont fly stuff u cant afford to replace a week after each expansion
2.) dont fly stuff u cant afford to replace ever
3.) week after patchday the most expensive thing i fly is an asp or cobra ( and maybe the python ive got 100x rebuy on that to)

Didn't your attempt / open Galaxy Map immediately close when hostile action started?

If it didn't then you need to raise a ticket.



P.S. Don't fly without insurance.

I read it and agree with you it was not about the rebuy but the lack of outfitting.

I also agree the outfitting should be there in a case like that.

If you "don't stand a chance" against an Expert Anaconda, you really should not fly an Anaconda yourself. You simply bought it to early for one of two reasons:
  • you lacked the credits to outfit it properly
  • you are lacking the skills to fly and defend it, as you might have taken the "quick path" to credits and lack experience

Unless the OP has been posting for 3 months before he bought the game, you are mistaken. He has not complained about losing the Conda. He's certainly taken that far better than I would.
