Horizons Trade missions not paying Cr#p

Since the update trade missions are not paying anything. I jumped to another system thinking it was the one I was in. Got there and the best mission was like 7800 for hauling 6 rutile 29 ly. I know many people makes millions in an hour but I'm happy grinding 1 -2 million in a couple hours of play every day or so. I don't do combat as I'm pretty bad. I can usually fight off the NPC's or jump to get away but not my thing . I just like to get into the immersion of flying in space, make credits by hauling and a little exploring , until I get my Asp Explorer and try getting out of the bubble. If this isn't a bug I may have to become a space prostitute to get my Asp( that is Asp, I don't have a lisp yet).

Well I don't know where you guys are so it must be cr@p where you are because when you live like I and my colleagues do on the Outer Colonies, we get plenty of missions and even more passenger missions paying a fortune. 1.2 million to move passengers 12 LY. 3 Million Plus to shift cargo 100 LY.

Oh and a big thanks to Frontier for taking up my suggestion on Pilgrimages. Sacra Oculus has a Pilgrimage Representative when you look for passenger missions from them.

I did notice the passenger missions were paying pretty good, not sure where to get a passenger cabin for my Cobra or if you even can. The station I was at didn't have them. I'm assuming you have to replace ur cargo with a passenger cabin.

yeah they killed ALL trading ... BH is now x5 more profitable then any trading ..

at lease now i can make cash doing what i enjoy the most about the game but im sure allot of traders are gona be       .

i thought only long range missions where suppose to be affected...

Trade missions (indeed nearly all the non passenger missions) are now worth a tenth of a pittance. Although Passenger missions are either worth meh or "please go to the centre of the galaxy for 5m".

Worried that by trying to stop people who are already rich from becoming richer (Sothis etc), they've stopped everyone else from making any money at all*

*insert "waah you just want teh ez monies, muh immershun" posts at some other point in this thread. I don't want easy money, but I don't want to spend my life saving up for a Beluga.

AND YET . . . a 1,000,000 credit donation still only gets me a 1/8 of 1% increase in rank. Trade missions nerfed, donation missions not. Income is chopped, prices continue to rise. Sounds like the US economy.

God I hope they sort out missions trade, 12.75ly for a data delivery 1,500crs. wheres the big money we had before the update. think until Frontier fix the trade crs Ill be staying away.
2 hrs mining Ice made me 12k crs     Seriously Frontier get your act together

Yeah thought I would have my new ship by next weekend. Think I'm going to sit out playing till next weekend . I was excited about the update, now I'm disappointed. Should be able to make a living doing whatever you like. If this doesn't get fixed might have to pin my hopes on Star Citizen even though I really liked Elite. Oh well might be a bug so I'll just take a break and hope for a patch.

I've yet to fix performance issues in 2.2, but what I don't understand is why slow down the rate of progress AT ALL? It's not like we found some obscure exploit to get 100 M cr in 5 minutes by jumping between two systems or something.

Utterly ridiculous!

As it is, I have been spending a not insignificant amount of time playing, and after 2 months have managed to afford an Anaconda with enough change left over for insurance. 2 MONTHS is not what I would call an "exploit".

I hope FD realize people actually have a life outside of E: D.

IMHO nothing will cause players to leave faster than ACTIVELY borked game mechanics that prevent you making progress.

i could make 60-70M in 3-4 hours at SOTHIS . i agree they should nerf that .. but the rest is just out right ridiculous!

60 M in 4 hours = 15 M/hr, but you made the effort to fly 900 Ly, spend 4 hours running long-range missions (the only place I ever saw them!) and got paid for the effort. Given it was the only place you could do this, I don't consider it a problem.

What I do consider a problem is the general lack of high paying, long range missions, and the fact that missions appear to ignore the capability of the ship you're in at that moment (e.g. 300 T capacity, 40 Ly jump range).

Gah - enough ranting. I'm going to go fix my perf issues in 2.2 (if I can).

Long haul nerf

I don't understand the reason for nerfing the long haul runs how they expect you to earn the bigger ships?!?!?
The game is a grind already why make it worse?

I noticed also the trade missions are a bit lower in profit. I decided to treat the passenger missions as trade missions.
I stack the tourist in my ship like logs on a fire. I outfitted my Asp with a first class cabin. First mission, 4 million credits for a 6 jump round trip.
I'm not sure if it helps your trade rank or not.

So Frontier Studios.

I see you screwed over Traders totally if they want to do Mission Board Missions.
I can understand a nerf to the long Hauling but not the rest.

And no i dont like it that your forcing me to play Space Bus Driver to make some credits and even that seems to be risky.

Thank you for slaping a Trader in his face.
I know i can plan routs with outside Websites but should not have to rely on that.

Really disappointed in that subject.

the way I see it is that ... if Trading gets you 10M/hour , so Should BH , Mining , Exploring , passenger transport!

every *profession* in the game should give you the SAME opportunity! This is a Simulator game and Doing what you love should not be Slowing you down!

I LOVE to BH and frankly i stop BH to do Long haul cause i went from 3M/h to 15M/h++ ( why the hell would i BH!!!! )
The nerf they did was necessary! but they clearly Screwed up BIG TIME!!! ( 5K$$ mission for 30units ??! HELLO?! )

1: Exploring should give you more credit as well ( scans outside the bubble! )
2: BH Is also very low ( but probably balance now ) ( dont count power play )
3: trading is completely Ruined now and useless! ( unless farming ranks even then i notice they give out less mission at a time now! )
4: mining was trash and now its even Worst!!!

I understand that you went FAR for SOTHIS and people use that as a argument .. but as a counter to that as a BH every time i Engage a enemy ship i RISK losing 30M in insurance + the bounty im holding!!!! if anything BH should be the most profitable/risk using the argument logic.

I agree with the nerf to SOTHIS the problem is this game OVER ALL is completely UNBALANCED when it comes to professions!

what makes me Mad is that i've been playing the game for 1month And i can already see the Problems.... they even said that they didnt want us to focus *farming* because its a SIM .. but thats all we do.. and now they made it even more of a farm/grind...

we got Passengers and fighter bays at the cost of good game play...

IMHO if we want to sit there for an hour collecting missions, that is our prerogative.

I spent two hours in a RES, shot 12 ships, and walked away with... 150 k. I then went to a high res, sustained 300k in damage for a.... 90k bounty (I took out an Anaconda AND was using a fighter for support). If I had lost the ship entirely, that would be 13 M.

Right now the credits system is almost forcing losses on everyone. I just fail to see the point of doing this.

I can sort of see both sides of this...

From Sothis I was making 60m+ every 2-2.5hrs in my cutter and based on the chatter that was going on before the 2.2 release i blew out my weekend plans and sat there over 3days making 600M...... my eyes were bleeding by the end of it and quite frankly its wednesday and im still wrecked (getting old). A HUGE amount of effort went into doing that but it took me six months solid gameplay grinding away moving from ship to ship and grinding the IMP ranks to be able eventually to buy the cutter, it aint cheap basic and by the time it was D-Rated its worth 297m..... i couldn't have gotten this far without Sothis runs

That said...

From Rhea the cutter took approx 30mins to Sothis and the same back and around 45mins to 1hr to do the drops, add to that the board cycling and a full run came to around 2.5hrs........ 30mins travel time is hardly long distance is it, if this were reality Long Distance Lorry Drivers would be richer the premier league footballers

Its a fine balance..... I don't think it was TOO easy but maybe needed dialing back a little, not this much. Frontier also need to remember that many of us have actual lives and that if the grind is too much that people who feel they are not making any progress financially to enjoy the bigger items in the game may lose patience & be turned off it all together.

Lets face it the other reason it was done was to push people towards passenger missions
