Horizons Trade missions not paying Cr#p

Lets face it the other reason it was done was to push people towards passenger missions

Then they are lying.
They claimed you can proceed on doing what you want.
Being a Trader (legal stuff) by heart is now just a joke against other paths.

Reminds me of Politicians that claim something and then turn around in a heart beat to do it different.

This is what happens when people cry nerf to missions. Look on the good side. Passenger missions pay good and you can go back to lame pew pew pew in a res.

Trading missions is hardly "trading". I feel the trading missions are a good way to get increasing rep with a faction, everyone is always thinking about money! And no not everyone does or should make millions per hour!!!!!!

100 M cr in 5 minutes by jumping between two systems or something.

No, but you could make 20-40 Million in one jump Between Aditi and Diamond Vision when Aditi Jet Mafia where anything but "bust" with the right ship. I farmed there for WEEKS before the patch dropped and was averaging over 100m an HOUR. People were doing the same thing with Skimmer missions in a few places. . . stacking them to 20, and while I've HEARD this is still active in places, I didn't see a single one at Diamond Vision yesterday [never did those anyway]

Now, I can live without the cash, or with doing passenger missions, but what's REALLY killing me is that they seem to have nerfed most of the engineering commodity payouts from said missions. I've converted my cargo haulers to semi passenger semi combat [with fighter bays, OMG fun!] but they're not engineered, and finding energy grid assy and ion distributors seems to be nearly impossible now [tried out of Shinrarta AND Aditi so far]

If it weren't for passenger missions paying so relatively much [I've gotten a million for a single jump from them, and 400-900k on average for 1-2 hops] I'd suspect the whole mission board was tied to a single formula.
Still REALLY dissapointed, I REALLY loved doing the missions, and was looking forward to grinding some cash working on Fed rep. Sadly, it seems as though I'm destined to become a Space Uber driver.

I don't need 100m an hour, but is 139k for an elite boom data delivery REALLY so overkill frontier? or 40k with some ion distributors???

I saw a 12LY cargo run mission for 397 credits!! Been flying my Asp Explorer for quite awhile now trying to run fed missions out of the Sol vicinity to build up my rep to buy a Fed Assault Ship (it'll still be awhile b4 I can afford the ships in the 50M CR range) and was regularly getting missions in the ~200K CR range and several in the 50-100K CR range going to the same location (small peanuts compared to what some of you guys are making, but enough for me to upgrade my ship and build a small stash). With Guardians, it seems like the mission rewards have been cut by a factor of 10. Guess it's time to trade my cargo bay for a passenger module, but, as many of you have said, I REALLY don't want to be a bus driver .

Your opinion. I suppose you're still flying a stock Sidewinder?

Imagine your ship re-buy is 20 M cr... Still think you shouldn't "make millions per hour"??

Basic economics: the higher-end ships are unaffordable.

Data delivery missions are paying about 1/4 of what they were before the update as well.

I'm seeing cargo missions delivering 128T for 130 ly paying 280K credits - before the update they were paying 1.5M to 2M credits.

Hoping ED monitors how often people accept missions and if people are not taking these, will reconsider.

Someone in another thread has said it is a confirmed bug.

How on earth was all this missed in Beta??? Where was QA?

I'm still almost 5000ly from a station but this news sounds terrible!! I pretty much made all my money from legal trading and trading mission runs ( never did the Sothis thingy ). Now it's sounding like it's passenger missions are the ONLY way to make money ? - that's got to be broken.

I was doing the Maia runs and making about 20 mil a run from long haul trade missions and smuggling. I though it was worth my time and being interdicted constantly to do a 600+ LY run and make some good profit. With all the stops it would take me a couple of hours. I just did it today and full load I was at about 2.5 mil. one smuggling mission. They must have amp'd up fines for scans, because I was hit with a fine that was almost as much as my total of trade profits.

I can see some nerfing in the long haul missions, but this is a little extreme. It isn't even worth my time to do these missions now. I have limited time to play this game already.

Of course they trashed trading missions, that way everyone will be forced to do the shiny new passenger missions. >.< Cargo transport missions are my favorite pastime. I don't like being forced to play a certain way.

I'ts no just trade missions... Almost all missions are paying a joke instead of money... This don't looks like a bug, its look like a way to force people play the new passanger vertent of the game.. I truly hope they fix this and bring some balance...

well it looked ok to me tonight, there just seems to be a bigger variation of missions now, in stature and reward:

I hope it is investigated and fixed promptly then. Cause if it was just them forcing us to do passenger missions... that would be pretty craptastic.

It may also be from FD trying to make CGs more appealing. If trade missions don't pay as well, but doing a CG pays quite well, then there's increased chances players will participate in CGs.

It's a big shock since the player base got used to large sums of credits for doing these things. Now with FD "rebalancing" the game, they've removed what was the principle source of measuring progress in the game. If you no longer get the credit reward, what else are they offering? Better gameplay? More involved and interesting missions? What's the incentive to play in the new iteration of the game?
