VR animation when jumping to stars rocks - except the swirl - major hurl

Love the new animation that plays when jumping to stars, its so awesome, no more flat textures

does anyone else get motion sickness when you are about to exit to the destination star and it starts to swirl around you?

i have to look at the radar otherwise i feel sick

nah I don't get that! I don't get motion sick at all in VR no matter what I do! I can jump and bounce at full speed in the SRV and eat a burger while at it and drink beer :)
my wife though.. she gets motion sick in VR easy, but also car sick and sea sick...

I'm with Dread Lord - I can even drink beer through a straw in the Rift.

To be honest, I haven't jumped in 2.2 yet - I only got 10 minutes in a station this morning.

But watching the livestream last night, I noticed the new animation has a LOT more clouds/wisps texture being thrown at you from dead ahead - the earlier animation was a bit 'clearer' near the centre.

I was just about to make a post on this. Not only is the jump animation 10 seconds longer, the swirl when it starts rotating causes major nausea for me. I now have to close my eyes in the tunnel. Please please please remove that. Any motion where you are not in control, except for forward and backwards, in VR, is a major no no. Even the little auto align to the jump point triggered something in my head, but that can be "fixed" by simply aligning yourself. Something I do automatically anyway. And I'm not easily nauseous either. I can drive around like a maniac on the planets in the SRV.. Try looking out to the far sides while jumping (As far as your ship canopy allows) and I bet you'll get the same weird feeling when it starts going WOOOO SPIN

I'm getting really long 'VR legs' so I did not notice. Maybe I would have some weeks ago...

An other trick when driving around in your SRV is to turn off the HUD; it helps allot with nausea [yesnod]

I can race across the landscape in my SRV without having problems, but for whatever reason, rotational motion makes me sick. Fortunately in combat, it's brief enough that it isn't much of a problem, but the swirl they added to the hyperspace jump animation leaves me nauseous. I'd reported it during the beta, and it was passed on for review. :)

No nausea here either, and jump times are the same as before.
I know from the sound in the tunnel exactly when I pop out in 2.1 (When there is no lag of course). When that moment happens now in 2.2, I count 10 more seconds before actually dropping. Might be lag, but the same thing was reported in the beta. I bet they are implementing thargoid interdictions while in the tunnel, just as the old elites, thats why they have the longer jump times...

But they don't have longer jump times.
Mine has been consistent through 2.1, 2.2 . 2 beta and last night even with all the server problems after release.

I love the new system warp, not noticed my ship rotate mind you - I thought it was just the outside rotating and moving.... Its 100% not longer, I know this as my buttkicker app has it timed exactly so that when I jump it doesn't shake my house apart.

Must just be my lag causing 10 seconds longer jump times then. Thats good =) And yes, I do love the new tunnel effects as well. Nothing wrong there. Just the rotating that causes me to hurl =)

I have setup a voice attack command for toggling HUD.

It's used more than the command for deploy\retract the landing gears..

It makes my stomach turn a little but I feel normal as soon as the jump is done. I like the animation overall but I could do without the spin.

I got a little bit lurchy at first, for sure. I love the new animation though.

Coming out into one of the new Neutron stars? That was @(#%*& terrifying.

I have always feared them to begin with: I believe they are not comprised of densely compressed neutrons, but instead made of the crushed hopes and dreams of space explorers who's lives they have claimed. Now their contempt for explorers is literally erupting from their twisted poles in white hot jets of pure hatred.

Neutron stars are evil. EVIL!!!
