Breaking News ++++ Galnet announces Faulcon De Lacy Stock crash

BREAKING NEWS ++++

Following Galaxy wide lifting of trade restrictions between Empire, Federation and Alliance commercial partners remote ship factoring has now been legalised. In the first few hours since the lifting of the remote ship sales embargo the nearly new and second hand ship markets have been flooded with Faulcon Delacy Sidewinders and ZP Haulers.

Most of the action has been in the sidewinder market with an estimated 6000 units coming on the market in the first 8 hours of the new trading regime.

Galnet also reports that the Faulcon Delacy Share price saw an unprecedented drop of 8% as the flood in the second hand market hit new unit sales.

FD. (ord) down 1960 Cr from 24506 Cr at the start of business to 22545 CR at close.

It's a Bear market!!!! SELL is the recommendation!

A Faulcon Delacy spokesman was not available the ZP issued a statement indicating that the new market trend had already been factored into year end profit forecast, ZP down 2% to 19457 Cr++++

People used Sidewinders as bookmarks. They became obsolete with the official bookmark feature but many people didn't bother to fly there to sell them. With the new remote ship selling feature many CMDRs sell their old Sidewinders and flood the market.

Gee, I never knew people did that but I guess in a way it makes sense.

Good article OP, have some rep +1

But can you delete the bookmarks once you have placed them? The Sideys can still be moved or deleted (sold) so they might be handy to keep in place. I am keeping mine.

Sure you can. Pre-2.2 the process often bugged a bit for me at least, though, but now it seemed to work like a charm. Definitely try them out!

Yeah, in fact, you kind of have to. I don't recall the limit, but I kept bumping into it while out exploring. Marked unscanned systems, meaning to get back to them and ran out of navigational bookmarks. I had to delete a lot of them so I could continue my journey and leave those breadcrumbs to follow back.

I think the limit is 128 or so.

You mean you haven't sold your Sidey's...

I've already sold 9 of mine [remote ship sales now allowed]

Great! Just great...

As soon as we got bookmarks, I spent a great deal of time flying around to different locations to sell my sideys and replace them with actual bookmarks.
Now I find out I could have sat in the one spot and do it all instantly?

Great! Just great...

And uh, as others have said, do submit this to galnet.

Don't worry, all that cash will go right back into the system when a couple commanders pay for a ship transfer. Should stabilise overnight ;)
