My Earth-like World has been colonized!

Nice but shouldn't that first settlement be named after you as the discoverer of the system?
Well, you know I'd give a biased answer to this [hehe] But I'm not sure if there's any in-game precedent for this case. Save for folks who have paid money at the Kickstarter campaign to name something in the bubble.
In the end, it's up to Frontier to decide how it'll be. I would like to name something, of course.

As it turns out, through all this time we've missed that a second ELW has also been colonized around Jaques and is also going to have an outpost built around it. That would be Eol Prou LW-L c8-138 1, first discovered by CMDR Yuksarr. This one also has a landable moon orbiting it. So, congrats to the Commander as well! I'm not sure how it went unreported for so long, as according to EDSM, he discovered it on Jul. 18 (I discovered mine on Jul. 2), and the patch notes went live on Sept. 20. It's a mere 16.3 ly from Jaques, making this Earth-like the second closest to it. (Unless we've overlooked another close one, heh.)

Compared to Tranquility (Eol Prou VY-R d4-443 6), it's a small and chilly place. In fact, it's interesting how FD chose two Earth-likes from two ends of the spectrum to colonize first, as opposed to just choosing the closest two. Well, it does make more sense to do it this way, and I am glad for it.

Oh, and curiously enough, it looks like it's going to be an Extraction economy. I can't tell more from the beta, but we should see tomorrow.

Congratulations!!!!!
In my opinion it shouldn't be removed from the list.
The rule that exclude colonized planets applies only for the ones already colonized before 3301. The other ones have been discovered by some player first, and AFTER colonized. So in my opinion not only this ELW shouldn't be removed from the list, but it should have a special mention!

Mind you, these two ELW-s are still recorded, they are just on the "From Jaques" list (with notes added that they have been colonized), and not the main "Data" sheet which is used for counts and charts.
But to be frank, in the future it would be easier for me to go with MattG's suggestion, and change the rule to "uninhabited at the time of discovery". Later updates might (and hopefully will) bring more colonization, so keeping track of what to remove could become annoying.

Also, I noticed something of an oddity. Tranquility has an Agricultural economy and a minor faction called Colonia Research Division owns the outpost, while the Yuskarr's ELW's outpost has an extraction economy and a minor faction called Colonia Agriculture Cooperative.
I like to imagine that the scientists down on the planet are actually gorging themselves on freshly caught local fishes that are exceptionally delicious. In the name of research, of course.

I'd hate to colonize that planet. I'd gain so much weight!
"I'm not fat, the planet's gravity is too high!"
But yeah, now that you mention that, if you travel to a higher-g planet you immediately put on weight, but you don't put on mass.

They should add a mechanic that if any of the planets you discover end up being used/colonized you get a nice bonus in addition to the initial finder's fee.

Like being allowed to name it?

Ohpleasepleasepleasepleasepleasepleasepleasepleasepleasepleasepleasepleasepleaseplease FD! Pleasepleasepleasepleasepleasepleasepleasepleasepleasepleasepleaseplease!

I first-discovered an Earth-like near Jaques. Planet Mysturjia where are you? :D

Edit: EOL PROU VI-T D3-424 isn't on the list. :(

That would be because nobody submitted it yet. Why not make a screenie and post it there? I have the Sol and Jaques distances from EDSM.

Where/how do I submit it?
I posted it in some thread somewhere...

Some more news regarding this: the excellent people over at the Colonia Gazette ran an article I submitted to them that's about the colony, as part of a series introducing the new colonies. You can read it here:
Colonia, Here and Now: Part 03 - Vitto Orbital.

Thanks again to MattG for the screenies, and for a bit more amusement too!

Also, a fun fact: the full name of the Tang clan representative is actually "Lieutenant Scout Craft". He must have had an interesting childhood, growing up with a name like that.
