Horizons 2.2 Bugs

2.2 should have remained in Beta for a bit longer... hmm... I guess the release version wasn't Beta 7?

Bugs encountered so far (note some already existed in 2.1, but are worse here):

* ESC menu is very hard to call up (takes multiple attempts over several minutes)
* There is a problem with populating the modules list in that e.g. selecting Engines, causes it to show 2E twice in the list! 2A I presume is avail, but not displaying? All modules have this bug
* After changing the config of the Anaconda, the Modules page in the ship was blank. Required a restart of E: D to fix
* I couldn't access any of the menus (in-ship or ESC) after switching between the fighter and the ship, and returning to the mothership
* There is a bug with the wingman commands - the option selection eventually gets stuck and there is no way to continue communication with them (they stop responding which causes the bug)

I think that is it for now... :(

*Get no verbal docking conformation after requesting docking. It shows up in the message panel, but the ATC doesn't verbalise it anymore.

Really loving the update so far, but a couple things did come up.
My ships are all at 99% hull & I cant fix the last 1% ... A cpl other things as well, but all in all I am having a blast with all the additional content.

I suggest you file those as bugs in the proper forum or submit a support ticket so that they can have a look at it :)

It's like an updated version of the old 10CR repair bug. Yeah, it messed with my OCD too.

Also, one that i got 100% of the time yesterday:
when in my SLFighter and tried to order my crew npc to keep my mothership in one spot (hold position) it didn't work. The order is sent then vanishes, no response from the AI.

Jaco go to the advanced repair section thingy and under the repairs tab there should be availability for you to repair your hull integrity. That's my guess anyway.

also, the right-click is gone, and I really miss it. I know it is but a little comfy "thing", but i really miss not being able to right-click anymore....

Commands to NPC fighters eventually bugs the entire menu system. :(

What do you mean? I have found several key binds stopped working.

Even though they APPEAR to be bound in the UI, they need to be re-mapped to get them to work. Maybe you just need to re-assign the same button again? Don't forget to save the changes! :)

I dont know, the "right-click" just used to be there, no bindings. I mean you open lets say mission window, then you left click on a mission, you can left vlick on accept or decline. whereas before just right clicking anywhere on the screen would take you one stap back. That was very comfy. Worked basicly everywhere.
Now its gone...... :(

Appreciate the tip. I also found that yesterday & it didnt clear things up unfortunately.... Fortunatly today I boot up the game & the problem seems to be gone, at least for the moment. Not sure if they did something to fix the problem, or if it was a glitch that will show itself again... Suppose we'll find out ;)

That is a blast from the past!

I haven't seen this one myself, but we had this exact same problem way back in one of the pre-Horizons updates last year. It took till the following point update to get it fixed. But that one was effecting everyone in the game, not just a portion of the player base.

As for releasing 2.2 too early.... The 2.2 Beta was hands down the longest and most thorough of any previous Beta cycle for ED I can remember. It was also the most productive in terms of Frontier's communication with the community. But we are never going to have a totally bug free release of a game this huge in terms of assets, features, codebase etc.

As others have suggested.... Just keep filing bug reports when you find something, and always check to make sure that there isn't already a thread or report about your issue before creating another redundant thread about it. Just add your "Me Too" to the existing thread/report and hope for a fix in the next point update. ;)

That sounds more like pilot error to me than an actual bug. Some ships, like the Federal Corvette for example do not fully touch down until their orientation with the ground is right. To the pilot of the Corvette, this orientation looks like the nose of the ship is pointing up way too high in the air, but that is the attitude the ship needs to be adjusted to before the landing sequence will complete and the engines shut down.

What ship is this you are using? There are other ships in the game that require similar somewhat odd alignments with the ground before they will fully land. I mentioned the Corvette because it has one of the most radical/obvious compared to most other ships in the game.

This is the same with the Cutter also. It also affects landing in stations and land bases. Got to have the nose up. Also if you let it auto level it will be in the correct orientation.

I have noticed graphical anomalies being introduced:

1. a square amber halo around what appears to bestars that I can't target.
2. Concentric blue rings nested like a coarse vinyl record appearing on planets.
3. light brown fuzzy stuff around suns on system maps.

Game breaking bug:

In station it a menu feature is red because it's Horizons content, yet I have Horizons.

1) and 2) need a screenshot. For 1, are you in SC? I thought I spotted new symbology too, but not sure.

3) Need a screenshot.

Which menu doesn't work?

DO you use Mac? Because I know from own experience that this exactly as you describe used to be a Mac problem.
