Ok, so I landed and deployed my SRV to investigate another POI (just a normal crash site as it turned out later) but briefly after I deployed the SRV, an NPC FDL (I am in Open at the moment) flew over me - is that normal?

Yeah i found a parked Vulture next to a crash site.. nothing out of the ordinairy. (was also a beta thing)

I one other important thing is that Synuefe xr-h d11-102 1 B is tidally locked to the star, so as the trailer is in daylight we only have half the body to search, right?

Where is the light coming from in the trailer as this will reduce the amount of searching further?

Meanwhile - back in Sol. There is an unregistered comms beacon above Europa
Is this normal?
Looked on the ground below & found a crashed explorer and a crashed navigation beacon....

Probably just a thing.

In the trailer it looks like the ruins are activated by something maybe a ua, up or meta alloy? maybe fd have finally decided to make alien items more interactive since the UP signal was found by riz in 2.1

Just going to point something out that caught my eye.

In the original trailer image we can see both the ruins and the highlighted features on the moon.

However as it stands right now, those features are visible with the planet behind the moon.

And here's the real clincher. That yellow moon is tidally locked to the main planet. So there's no conceivable way that it would ever be able to even face the planet.

Strange though. In game it says the moon is tidally locked, but that doesn't seem to correspond with those images: see how the planet is behind it on the right screenshot (was even clearer for xdeath's original images).
Something else. The planet itself has a rotation period of -6.9 days which is the opposite of its orbital period of 6.9 days.

I'm doing a test to see if the planet is tidally locked to the star or the brown dwarf. If I'm right it would narrow down the search area quite a bit. We would just have to match either the star or the brown dwarf in the trailer.

Only just getting in game god damn it.........I want to search Sol god damn it....but the trailer.....I know we've said the trailers didn't help before but don't forget they read this thread and I never look at the trailer so why not shove the first clue in........that's it omw.....Sol I will search you in a moment.

Just found a crash site (ship entirely destroyed, no idea which one it is, just pieces all around) and 5 escape pods plus one material. But the weird thing was that there was an Asp Scout from the System Defence Force (no faction) landed at 50 meters from the crash site. Yup an NPC ship just parked there in the surface of the planet...what the actual material!?!?!?

I'm still there and the Asp won't move, and the pilot is still there...it is quite dark over here and I'm starting to look over my shoulders...:O

Screenshots with location:

Was about to ask if they needed some help, sugar or something...but nope:

And the crash site that I found before with an F63 Condor...nothing out of the ordinary here:

so weve found potentially one of the alien relic sites. Still nothing to report from the agnair / colonia region just yet, searching for barnacles and other oddities

Everybody please do not forget that the Ruins will hardly be in a POI. I suspect, like any other "fixed" location, like the Barnacles, it will not be in a POI. We will have to spot them by eye, as usual... So be patient...

Don't worry, 5 hours in looking with my own eyes and I feel like I'm doing exactly this:

I think this may be a new feature. I was on a moon orbiting a (haha) ringed brown dwarf and, as I went to depart, a contact popped up on my screen. It was a SDF Python sitting about 100 meters from a wrecked beacon. This was in an Anarchy as well.
