This is a Joke.

Why not? There are escape pods onboard. Also it is your choice to mix criminals with civilians.
You know why not. That's a ridiculous expectation. If individual NPCs can eject themselves with escape pods then when security vessels scan and find an illegal passenger is should just fine you and eject their escape pod. Simple. The current implementation is a huge load of rubbish.

That's nonsense. The criminal would stay on your ship until destruction, he paid you to get him out of this situation, either you success or you fail at it. If he ejects prior to destruction he'll just go directly in jail, his chances are better when he tries to escape with you.

I had the same issue.
Legal tourists on a sightseeing tour. Entered a station to refuel and found myself dead with a bounty on my head. Was it the docking computer? Did one of my guests become illegal? I really have no idea what happened.
It doesn't really hurt me or my balance, but it brings back my unhappiness with the current crime, law and executional system.
There should be at least a tab to review your crimes and a balance on the punishments.

btw.: I also dont record all my gameplay just to provide proof for bugs or bad coincidence.

No. No it doesn't. Security ships scan you.

Or it could be the old phantom scan bug.

Want a laugh? First trade CG at Jacques (where it is now) I flew a Conda out there with 320 tons of cargo space. I took something like 305 tons of cargo but for laughs I also took 15 Imperial slaves. Flew 22k Ly to Jacques, went to land (in solo) and had exactly that bug as I was docking. No 'ship scan detected' message and there wasn't even a ship shown as being within scanning range. I'd even popped a heatsink on the way in and was running very frosty. You can imagine how carefully I was watching for scans after a 22K flight, I absolutely 100% did not just 'not see it' it, the first I knew about it was the fine. Worst of it is it was only about the third time ever that I've been fined when smuggling. :D

? Are you really that daft?
You not serious are you? Are you seriously trying to say that anyone with an issue ever must have their games recorded at all times just to satisfy that one split second
He's saying video proof goes a long way in validating an unusual claim.

I will be submitting a ticket to reimburse my 8 million in rebuys.

I am more mad about the inconvenience more than anything though. My first impression of 2.2 will forever be that.

I hope more light is shed on this issue. I know it may be rare but regardless it did happen and it has happened to others albiet not many. But its unnacceptable nonetheless.

Report the bug by all means - but asking for your 8 mil? A couple of trade runs in a big ship should sort that. Don't be so mean and cheap. Show some class.

Just so you know, it is not unusual for scans on exit to go unnoticed by your ship. You often won't know there was a scan until the police tell you you are all clear or whatever - a bug I suspect. So you could have been scanned but weren't told. This is not particularly unusual - if you notice. Not that I am suggesting this was the case here. If you were scanned and there was an issue I'm sure you would have noticed the message about wanted passengers or whatever they say in this case.

Final question - were you in open?

if it wasn't legit, you've every right to ask for your rebuy back.

They may not grant it to you, but you have a right to ask.

My first steps into a Beluga consisted of loading a criminal into a cabin, being scanned on the way out due to the lumbering nature of the ship and being deleted. Instant 9m rebuy, 100% my fault. Good times. [hehe]

A Swiss tourist approaches two Englishmen on a London street.
"Pardonez-moi, Messieurs. Parlez-vous Francais?"
They look at him in confusion.
"Guten Tag, meine Herren. Sprichst du Deutsch?
They look at each other and shrug.
"¿Hablas Español?"
Stare.
"Italiano?"
Greeted with blank looks, the Swiss man storms off in disgust.
One Englishman says to the other "You know, I've often thought about learning a foreign language".
"What for?" his friend replies. "That bloke knew four of 'em. Didn't do him any good."

No, he literally said that since there was no video that there was no instance of a happening.

Yah, after you rudely called him daft and un-serious.

Bad form.

Exactly - video recording is easy for most players and truly helpful. And there is that tendency that the more unusual the report, the less likely the existence of some evidence. About "FOEBITS": I do not communicate with people that are incapable of civil discussion - that is what the Ignore List is for....

I like how this thread took on two sides.

On one hand, you have a serious discussion - Good on you guys, I have nothing against you all, so go on.
On the other hand, you have the funny buggers posting jokes so the thread sort of lives up to its title.
Not enough rep to go around for you lot.

Gotta love this community.
