It could be considered discrimination to not hire someone based on name or cultural differences.

Better hope the union doesn't find out.

ISIS is also the name of the ship previewer system in EVE.

ISIS is also the name of a world-leading centre for research in the physical and life sciences at the STFC Rutherford Appleton Laboratory near Oxford in the United Kingdom.

ISIS is also the name of an Egyptian God

ISIS is also... you get the drift.

I've been attacked by a player called totenkopf which to anyone who knows WWII would be gobsmacked but that's just the random nature of the name generator, even tonight I was interdicted by a npc with the last name saville again to many Brits thats an evil name now to the rest of the world it means jack.

Yeah I get it.I'll delete this thread.

The Egyptian name for Isis is Aset. Isis was the Greek version.

Heh, this is getting off-topic, but Aset is the presumed pronounciation of the name (AFAIK). But yes, Isis as a written name comes from the Greek (although they obviously didnt spell it as such either!), which influenced Latin, which influenced modern Italic/Germanic languages, which we use on this forum. :p

In any case: when we type Isis on the forum, we use our language to refer to the Egyptian godess, not an irrelevant terrorist organisation.

Are you sure the name Isis is Greek?I'm Greek and the only time I've heard it as a name is from Egyptian mythology.
