Can't board my ship

So, thought I'd see if I could find some of the new planetary features the new update has added, so I landed and went tooling around in my SRV. Didn't see anything, so I recalled my ship and drove beneath to go back aboard.

However, once in place, the "Board Ship" light lit, I selected board ship from the SRV menu, and nothing happened. Clicking noises as if it was ABOUT to board, but the SRV wouldn't go aboard.

Is this a known issue, or should I file a bug?

Tried that. Moved to more level terrain, too. No go. I'm trapped on the surface. Can't transfer cargo, either.

It's not a bug. It's a Frontier's mistake.

If you have some cargo in the SRV and your ship doesn't (cargo full or no cargo rack installed) you can't make it back on board until you jettison all your loots.

Since it seems they actually forgot to implement a message wich says "no cargo hold available" and disables the board ship button this IS their mistake. It is possible for a player to forget his cargo bay is full or not available, so a message must be present to warn him. Therefore, the board ship button keep remaining enabled and leave the SRV without any effect on activation.

A few new messages to be added:

Warning: Attention Not Paid
Warning: Thinking Required
Warning: You have entered a Personal Reponsibility Zone
Warning: Multicannon rounds can kill
Warning: Other People Detected

Yes, it is possible for a pilot to forget how much junk is in their trunk. And they can look real easy and see "Oh, there's too much junk in my trunk" without a handhold message.

My ship is a Type 7 with nothing in the cargo hold, so I had TONS of cargo space. My SRV was carrying 2 tins of cargo, though. Either way, the problem seems not to have anything to do with cargo space.

How much does 2 tins of cargo weigh?

No, placing a simple "cargohold issue" instead of leaving a clicking button without any effect will be enough.

Otherwise in your logic, let's just remove i.e. the warning message on drained weapons cause you must pay attention to everything...

If you log back into the old ED, not Horisons, you will end up back in your ship. But any cargo that was in the SRV will be lost. I found that one out the hard way.

Why is that anyway? Your SRV isn't any larger when packed with stuff than it is totally empty. This would also mean that once you have bought an SRV you should get 2 extra units of cargo space as you can put things in your SRV's hold.

Sounds like 'working as intended'; SRV cannot be stowed with cargo onboard which, if ships racks are full, means you need to jettison before you can re-board your ship. If you have spare capacity onboard your ship you should be able to transfer prior to boarding.

If OP had capacity and was not able to transfer then support ticket else jettison, retry and, if still no joy, support ticket

EDIT: Just experimented and my previous post was incorrect. You can board ship with cargo in the SRV but only if ship has matching capacity.
