Pristine Rings

It's a long time since I've been mining... But I've been to a couple of supposedly pristine rings and in the system map I can't see them as "Pristine"?

*confused*

eg: LHS 2661 6...

You need a detailed surface scan for that info for some reason.

But the value is system wide - not body specific. So don't worry about it if you know the system to be pristine.

I have done a detailed surface scan of it... And no "Pristine" mentioned...

Try again? ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Or look in the right place on the system map?

It took me several months myself to spot the place where the reserves are noted for the first time.

Well, I just don't think LHS 2661 6 is pristine (anymore)?

Gone to yet another location and it is... Hmmm... Maybe a minor change?

If it's not pristine anymore you should still get a reserves value (depleted/low/common/major). Pristine is just the highest value.

In the systems tab, top left there's some icons. The second one in gives body details so once you click on system object move the mouse over to the left panel and scroll down. Mind you cant say I've ever seen the word pristine - just metallic, metal rich, icy and rocky.
Have I been doing this mining thing all wrong then - only been at it a couple of weeks :)

Yeh, I'm familiar with where it is. I've can see it on my third attempted system, but on first and second (which were supposedly pristine) I c0uld not?!
