No self-destruct or reboot/repair for fighters?

Noticed this when my AI in her Taipan wouldn't respond to orders. Was about to start going on a rant about insubordination when I realised that she was drifting away, spinning ever so slightly. Switched to the fighter to confirm my suspicions that, yes, the thrusters were dead. Tried to reboot/repair, but it turns out fighters don't get that option. Seems a bit odd to be, especially as there's no way to launch another without your first one either dying or redocking, neither of which are happening when you're drifting 6KM outside the conflict zone

It was in the Beta. I saw it in Cpt. Hooch's video review of the GU-97. His thrusters were destroyed and he was able to reboot/repair. Here's the video: https://youtu.be/D2C5lpk-cGk He activates reboot/repair near the 15:00 mark.

Maybe it's a bug because the AI was piloting it when they were shot out. Don't know. Hope it's a bug, because it will be a bummer if this is the new state.

Fighters self destruct if they go further than 30km from the mothership. I'd guess they're too small to have a repair function.

I had this happen twice, while I was in the fighter (Taipan), and couldn't figure out a way to fix other than switching back to the mothership, then shooting the fighter myself (despite the pleas of my crew).

Some self-destruct, or fighter-destruct from the mothership would be useful.
